Electric Recommendations

I live in Delco, PA (Southeast). Last year was our first winter in our new home and we were buried in by those huge snow storms. We have about 30 feet of sidewalk and a driveway that fits 4 cars.

We do not have outlets outside. Nothing we own is gas powered. All of our equipment is electric.

I would love to buy a snowblower soon. My budget is $500 but willing to hear about more expensive options. I will definitely be looking at Facebook Marketplace. An easily moveable machine would be great because our storage options are the basement or a small backyard shed. I’m not looking for a monster truck of a machine. Just something to get the job done.

Happy to hear thoughts on an electric shovel, though, I’m skeptical because I never heard of that until seeing another post of this page.

Posting so I do it

We don’t have a dishwasher. It’s been a very rough past week. I’m ordering DoorDash and getting what I can done before it comes.

EDIT: In a few 15 minute sessions - I did it! Then we had dinner haha but that’s life.

Mini prop station for $1

Got this mini flower arranger for $1 at a thrift. Can’t wait to put it next to its big sister! I consider this a holy grail find.

Heavily mulched, forgot to put cardboard down first

I’m exhausted. Took 2 weeks to move my chip drop and I totally forgot to lay cardboard down first. Constant weeds. I can’t control them. I’m in PA so we just had 100 degree days followed by heavy storm days. Earwigs and box elder bugs are running rampant. I just don’t know what to do anymore.

First attempt at hard neck in 7b

After 8 months, it was finally time to dig up my garlic. 5 cloves were carefully chosen from the original 2 heads in picture 2. Only 1 made it through our crazy temperatures flux’s in April. I humbly present to you - my harvest.

Help me do something with this

This came to mind a few days ago when I was sad. I don’t know what else to do with it. Please give me ideas.

Ground set up

I will be putting a chicken wire front piece because my dog will absolutely try to get into this. I have a tumbler but it got filled way too fast. Will probably be adding an additional bay as time goes on.

Just need to also put here that I’ve had ADHD decision paralysis with this for months. Fighting the urge to spend a bunch of money on a fancy set up for convenience and aesthetic. Thanks to all who make the posts and comments reminding this sub that composting is as simple as throwing stuff on the ground and waiting. It helps my mind get back to basics.

My weights been up recently plus my autoimmune issues get worse in the sun/heat so the fatigue has been really rough. But this is a huge win for me. All materials I had, took about 20 minutes and did it after the sun went down. Go me.

And yes, I will be getting my husband to piss on it.

Don’t chop those weeds too quick

Decided to leave “weeds” and see what happens this year. Got this BEAUTY!

The black gold was in my gutters this whole damn time

I moved into this house a year ago. Started composting last July. Just cleaned out my gutters for the first time because weeds were growing out of them. I did remove the pieces of plastic and other non-organic matter.

It’s like finding treasure!

Casually taking up dandelion cording to use around my garden. Patiently waiting for my new fence to get installed so I can go full nuts-o in my backyard garden.
