Gyms in greater Toronto area that aren’t soft?

I’ve climbed at The Hub Markham, Basecamp Queen West, Ethos, and Steel Peak, all of which I’ve been told are soft/inflated on Reddit lol.

I’m really curious what my actual V grade is. Does anyone know a gym in Toronto/GTA with more accurate or tougher grading? I know grades are subjective, but I’d find it more motivating cuz whenever I hit a new grade, I immediately think “well, this gym is inflated,” so it doesn’t feel as rewarding sadly. Would love some recommendations, let me know, thanks!!

Or could someone tell me out for the 4 I’ve been too which one is least/most inflated ?

What sounds the most off

I can tell something doesn’t sound right but I can’t really tell. Especially during the first part it sounds like the song flows those notes so well but it sounds like im individually playing them. Idk how to describe it.

Do u guys think i need to set my speed lower? this is at 82% from when I started at around 50%

Also any other tips for anything else would be greatly appreciated!! Ty

Why do ppl in life sci take bio 2a03/2b03? What is it a pre req for?

Like ik it’s not needed for our program, but is it for like pharmacy or dental?

Since I don’t think med has those requirements? I’ve seen sooo many ppl take this who wanna go into med tho so… is there any reason why? Mcat prep maybe?

Thanks just curious

Can I inc weight if I hit 10/12/8 and not exactly 10/10/10?

Trying to overload, can I overload as long as I hit 30 reps (if my rep goal is 6-10 for 3 sets)?
Or do all my workouts have to hit exactly 10/10/10. What if I even hit 10/9/9, should I wait it out too.

Best cardio/walking goals on a recomp?

Been doing a recomp for a bit now, been tracking my cals and protein but ive really been lacking on actually trying to lose fat with cardio and walking or what not.

What do you guys do on a recomp? Also, if I start implementing this should I up my cals a bit (if so by how much). Thanks!

Genuinely what is THE best backup

I don’t want med anymore, tired of hearing doctors tell me they would never go through this path again. Tired of fighting for a 0.001% chance. I was 17, I always liked the human body and people so first thing that came into my mind was doctor and I also did it for the salary too lol, I’m not afraid to admit that. God forbid I try to get a good paying job in a time where 90-100k is the new 60k.

So im going 3rd year now and I don’t know what to put my time and effort into. I brought up my cgpa from a 3.74 in first to a 3.88 in 2nd. My goal is to end with a 3.9 to be competitive for other pathways.

I’m tired of being low income: what is the best time to salary to MENTAL HEALTH (I keep hearing horror stories from people being extremely depressed as nurses for example) option from this pathway? Is there truly none? Am I really busting my ass and spending thousands of dollars to either be depressed or low income in the future. Hard work doesn’t mean shit anymore

I think my eyes are set on occupational therapy. Yes it makes the same as a newly eng graduate while I need to take 2 more years of schooling, but honestly I fucked myself up for choosing this shitty pathway anyways so if that’s the BEST option I’ll do it.

I can’t progressive load. What should I do? 8-9h sleep every night, 300 call surplus and 1g/lb bw protein everyday.

Here is an example of one machine but my other exercises are like this too:

  1. 50 lbs × 9
  2. 50 lbs × 6
  3. 40 lbs × 6

2 May 2026

  1. 50 lbs × 7
  2. 50 lbs × 6
  3. 40 lbs × 7

5 May 2026
