I am BRCA 1 + and found out in February. I had my mammogram and ultrasound (hetro dense breast tissue so was called back) and everything was normal. I have my MRI for the first time scheduled but my period is very irregular and i don’t want to miss it.
The tech said that sometimes they can get false + and if that is the case they would do a biopsy. I am scared and nervous because my period isn’t always accurate but I am also scared to get a false positive.
Anyone had an MRI with hetro dense breast away outside the 7-14 day range?
