Clientele sale

I’m curious how everyone else shops the clientele sale. Do you set a budget on how much you’re going to spend? Or an item limit on how many items you buy? Or do you just go all in?

What would you do?

I ordered a button up a few weeks ago online and it came without the price tag but with the tag that talks about dye/colour transfer. Something just doesn’t feel right with it, almost like someone wore it and still managed to return it. I’m out of the return window now but still within the exchange/store credit timeframe. Do you think they will exchange it or offer store credit without the price tag even though this is how it came? It’s been over 2 weeks, so I’m worried they won’t. I should’ve dealt with it right away 😞

Portside satin skirt - yay or nay?

Getting my cart ready for the clientele sale. Does anyone have the portside satin skirt? Is it true to size? I’m eyeing the mocha brown colour!

Designer handbags still worth it?

What designer handbags are still worth the craftsmanship? None of the bags are really ‘worth’ the price point but I’m curious what brands still put some level of effort and care into the bags instead of cutting corners while increasing costs.

Buyers remorse

I got the resort wear platform sandals and while I think they are so cute, I’m having a bit of buyers remorse. I don’t live in a warm climate but thought they would be cute for vacations. They were also the last ones in my size (well technically half a size bigger than my normal size but still fit well). My biggest concern is how this material will last over time especially around the toe area. Should I keep them or return them 😭😭😭

ETA: thank you everyone for your input! I’ve slept on it and I’m going to return them as they just aren’t practical for my lifestyle. Going to go look at Chanel and Hermes’ instead as I’ve had my eye on some other shoes for a while and these LV ones were more impulsive. Appreciate everyone’s comments!

How advance should I book hotels and tourist attractions?

Going to Japan in November and so far we only have our flights booked… how in advance should we book hotels and tickets to attractions?

ETA: we haven’t finalized what attractions we want to see but are thinking shibuya sky, team lab planets, universal studios and Nintendo world. We’re also considering doing the Mario karts. We have a few shrines/castles on our list and the bamboo forest too but I don’t believe we need to pre book tickets for those.

Maryjane’s

Are these Maryjane’s still available? I want to get a pair and was originally considering the Miu Miu ones as I’ve heard they are comfortable. These don’t look very comfortable but they do look chic 😪

Would you buy a classic flap with the price nowadays? It’s my dream bag and I plan to buy it for my 29th birthday this year. Originally I was going to buy it for my 30th next year but with the constant price increases, I feel more inclined to just get it sooner before it increases again. Now it’s over 15k Canadian and part of me does think that’s INSANE to spend on a handbag but on the other hand, it’s been my dream bag since I was in high school and I don’t think I’ll ever change my mind on wanting it but again, it’s insane to spend that kinda money on a handbag 😭

I need a pair of black sandals for the summer. I was originally considering getting the Hermes’ oran sandals but I have a few mule sandals from other designers so I want to maybe try a different style out. Does anyone have either of these sandals, are they comfy? I need my shoes to be comfy.

I’m looking to get my first Chanel bag this year as a birthday gift for myself. I’m wanting a black mini or small classic flap with gold hardware. I see a lot of posts and comments about Chanel’s quality going down in recent years but I also see so many posts of beautiful new bags that look good quality. Although I really want my first Chanel bag to be brand new from a boutique (because I don’t foresee myself buying many more in the future), I’m open to buying vintage/second hand during a trip to Japan later this year. For those with Chanel bags from years ago and recent years, would you recommend I buy brand new or second hand?

ETA: I love the look of lambskin but I’m consider caviar for the longevity
