Location: Indiana
At this point I'm just trying figure out things and hopefully lower the level of stress , especially for my younger sibling. Apologies if this is a long read and thank you if you read it all.
State where this is happening is in Indiana, but myself and 2 other siblings don't live in IN. Only the very unstable oldest sibling lives in IN. Apologies if this is long.
Facts, elderly mother has dementia, my younger sibling helped relocate her from another state back to Indiana. Younger sibling bought a house there for our elderly mother to live in, instead of putting her in an a retirement home. Younger sibling has also purchaed cameras, front doorbell and back yard, to keep an eye on the house and for mothers safety. There's no lease and mother had been paying for rent. Younger sibling has been helping our mother managing her bills since she is incapable of doing so.
Recently our mother had an accident, requiring surgery, and my very unstable older sibling, who has been absent for over a decade, swooped in and is very quickly working to take control over all of my mother's things.
My very unstable older sibling has gotten my mother to open a new checking account and moved 99% of a substantial amount of money into the new account. Had taken mothers car somewhere to supposedly get fixed??? that mother lied to her neice about where it was. We have no idea where the car is now. These are just a few things they've one already.
The very unstable older sibling has covered up the front door and backyard cameras with plastic bags. There's no way to see when they are there or watch the property.
Also, very unstable older sibling has been dictating who can be at the house and controlling who can be there. They've confronted our mothers friends and told them they can't be there unless unstable person is there or they are to report to telling them when they are there.
More concerning part is the very unstable older sibling has turned our elderly mother against her children, with exception of the unstable oldest. They have convinced our mother we are, or have been, stealing her money. She's convinced our mother to sue us for stealing her money...although to what proof? Especially considering one child bought a house for the mother to live in.
The very unstable older sibling has also made verbal threats to our mothers friends of killing our mothers brother if she sees him. (there's a lot of history there and bad blood and they hate each other). They have threatened to have security at the house our mother is staying in to keep everyone away from our mother. They will most likely get POA over our mother and change and control any monies associated with our mother. The very unstable older sibling has also canceled several follow up doctor visits for mothers broken arm. The very unstable older sibling will also most likely use our mothers money to pay for legal fees to sue us, or my guess put our mother in a retirement home and steal the rest for themselves.
NOTE: The very unstable older siblings partner is a defense lawyer and most likely been advising our very unstable older sibling on what to do to take control of our mother and her money and property.
I'm broke/unemployed and can't afford an attorney. My other siblings can.
Do I, or my younger sibling, need to be concerned about the oldest getting our mother to take us to court to sue us????
Hello.
First post here. I'm in Springdale.
I moved here last November and learning NWA.
Any suggestions where a person can go to climb stairs for strengthening and exercise?
Walking is fine but prefer adding ascent/descent for a better workout.
Trails up a mountain would be fine, maybe for variety, but preferably something like an outdoor stadium.
Thank you all for those that respond.
