I don’t remember this being in the DMV manual?

Location: Los Angeles, CA.

I have no idea what this sign signifies. I drive this road to work everyday and haven’t noticed it until now. And no, the road doesn’t switchback aggressively like that. Is it a prank? Or is it legit?

Texture Rollers and molds

Hello all! I’m a pottery newb. Curious to know about using texture rollers on thrown pieces. Is it possible? And if not, are there molds similar to texture rollers so you can add “appliqués” to pieces? Where are the best places to get them?

Laundry

How are we handling our laundry post hot yoga? I try to go 4-5 days a week. When I’m done, my mat towel and clothes are soaked. But I don’t want to put my wet towel and clothes into my normal hamper. What are we doing with our stuff?

Thrift store hits and misses

Went thrifting today and added 3 more VHS tapes to my collection! The ones I found today also had the art cards in them so I thought that was neat. I think I’m only missing one more!

Also stumbled across a DVD collection from Korea(?). Made me laugh!

Recently acquired a 2005/43k miles and was super stoked. Mint condition, running like brand new, was owned by a little old lady. Unfortunately, I’m in America, and the gas situation is turning dire. They are watering down all the gas to E-15. I love my car and I want it to run as long as possible. My last prius hit 276k miles and I want this one to roll over to 300k. I’m really worried about my engine. Should I be buying premium gas that 10% ethanol if the regular is E-15? What can I do to protect my car? I’m a commuter and I rely heavily on my car. I average driving 80 miles a day. Truly in a downward mental spiral.

Thanks for all advice.

Hello, looking for some advice on some problems I’ve run into during my practice.

  1. Extremely tight/compressed/painful lower back

I’ve never been flexible in my back, but any time back bends are cued in class, I feel like even if I try, I can’t physically do them. Sometimes it feels like even tho I am doing my best to back bend, I’m still upright and straight. Other times it’s just too painful. Sometimes it feels like maybe I just need to be drawn and quartered. What can I do to elongate and open up my spine/lower back for back bends? Also, should I be concerned that I seem to have made zero progress with back flexibility, despite a semi regular practice? My forward flexibility has gotten much better, I don’t understand how I’m not improving in all directions.

  1. Puppy pose

I feel like I want to scream every time I’m in puppy pose. The instructors make it sound like I should be enjoying puppy pose, but I feel like I’m going to get stuck and I won’t be able to get out of the pose. It’s the antithesis of enjoyable, and if anything, the stress the physical pose and mental toll it takes on me feels like it negates anything the posture could actually be doing for me in any positive way. I’m clenching and tensing and losing my breath control every time. Is this normal? Do people actually like puppy pose?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and offer any help.
