I’ve been watching the games all day today and that RAD wolverine is absolutely dominating…. but I think I only saw him banned once? If you know he’s so good at wolverine and playmakes for the team so hard, why do enemies let him go through? I also think RAD only protected him once? I’m missing something here ig but why is he neither protected or banned yet he just eats enemies alive in most games?

I’m new to watching Marvel esports and since I have no dog in the game, as a woman, I’d like to root for a team that has a fellow woman/women on it.

From what I’ve seen so far SG and Shiki have one each. Anyone else?

It feels that unless my target is huge (like Venom or something) I just keep missing my hits in E form, which means I’m not getting healed, which means divers clobber me.

I know it’s a skill issue hence the question but I can’t for the life of me fight smaller targets because they move so much I have nothing to claw on OR I try to displace them and somehow I just dash right by them😭

I love Fox and I still get value from her and get a ton if MVPs/SVPs but I genuinely see clips of people killing TWO people at once in their E form and I feel like I can only reliably get a kill with it if I claw at a huge retreating tank. I feel like I do nothing against divers and she’s literally THE anti dive support.

It says 2PM UTC July 2nd on the trailer but then on the website it says 7PM PT July 2nd yet 3am July 3rd (?!) for CEST. Like??? I am confusion? Those times don’t match at all? When is it dropping for Europe.

I play in an elo which has a small enough player pool that I recognize people by their level, banner, and mood (if they have one applied) since most have their names hidden. I DO NOT use a tracker.

And now, lemme tell you. If I’ve seen this person run a lobby more than once, the hero they play the best IS getting that target ban. I don’t care, I’m not letting you walk my team if I can hinder you because we played together/against each other before.

But lately, people are getting mad on MY team for those bans. In like 3 different games I’ve been called a “baby” or a “coward” (???) or told it’s “crap to target ban”. Like??? Why would we NOT take the advantage? How is this “cowardly” or a “baby” behavior to ban someone and erase their best character from existence, so it’s a game and not a stomp?

I understand if I was using trackers, but I always say “I’ve seen them a lot” or “we played together”. Is it some pride thing?

I’m high GM/low Cele player, so you’d assume people have SOME game sense, but I’m proven wrong every other game.

I track ults. I know when their supps have ult, I know when their Punisher has ult, I know when their Cap will stall with ult. I use my own ult accordingly either to make a play and win a team fight OR to protect my team.

But half the time teammates cry and yap that you didn’t ult but had it. They die once: “X had ult btw”. We didn’t use ult for push because neutral was fine: “hold the ult forever”, “ult tomorrow” etc.

My brother in christ. If we’re winning in neutral, I am NOT ulting. Even if one of y’all dies, it’s okay because we still won the team fight. I’m gonna hold this ult for their Punisher who will get it upon return from spawn to try and team wipe (if we don’t have Mag).

No, I’m not ulting if I know their Luna also has an ult that will insta deny our push. I will wait till someone baits out her ult, count til it starts running out and THEN ult.

No, I’m not ulting for Psylocke. This is not Gold. I told y’all she has an ult coming up twice. I told y’all to stay in with tanks to deny her picks. Ults are valuable. She can be denied with a freaking patty cake if she jumps backline and with tanks staying in if she jumps on the entire team.

No, I’m not gonna Invis ult their Starlord ult enabled by Rocket’s one because HE WILL WIPE US THROUGH ULT. Hide, wait til it runs out, THEN ult to regain space/point instead of dying and respawning without an ult.

“Why did you ult?” “Your team wasn’t there.” It’s overtime and they have 2 meters to push. It’s only me and the tank. I AM ulting to hold til y’all come back because otherwise WE LOSE. This is not a situation in which I can hold my ult and wait for the team.

“We didn’t need the ult here.” Yes, we did. Y’all are close to dying and the enemy team doesn’t have ults. I’m ulting, so we can survive this and win a team fight.

Genuinely, stop telling us strats when to ult or not ult when you have no awareness of what’s going on and don’t track enemy ults yourself.

I know some strats are horrible and will ult for no reason, but goddamn. I’m not out there telling DPS or tanks when and how to ult, even if I know 70% of Punishers wait for 1 v 6 to insta die in their ult. I assume you got to this rank because you know how to make a play. Me yapping will not change anything, only annoy you. Have the same courtesy for me.

Yeah, whatever, I’ll solo tank. Shitters can have their 3 DPS. But for God’s sake, if they lock 3 DPS, can one of them at least peel??? Like holy fuck.

You want your solo tank to walk forward, create space, but also to lose all that space and walk back to help supps. While you do… what exactly? Because you aren’t helping create space and you aren’t helping your backline.

I swear every game where I’m solo tanking I maybe make a little bit of space, maybe we get one pick (MAYBE) and it all goes to the shitter because I have no choice but to go back and peel for supports.

Which creates this never ending, grueling experience of surviving but at the cost of having to push ALONE again only to create a little bit of space and have to lose it in 2 seconds because the dives got their cds back and can harass my backline again.

Genuinely, if you lock 3rd DPS, PEEL. If you don’t help with tanking, don’t get picks, and don’t peel, what the fuck are you doing exactly?

I’ve always hated the “pick me” approach in gaming of “I’m never befriending women in games because they are mean” or “I don’t get on well with other girls” because what do you even mean, right? Like that’s some internalized misogyny crap, isn’t it?

But after today, I’m scared I’m starting to agree with this thinking. I’ve been playing a hero shooter for a year now and most friends I’ve made are men. Not because of the aforementioned issue but because, I assume, the majority of players are male. Those turned into long lasting, drama free friendships.

However, anytime I met a girl in game I was like yupppeeee! A gaming bestie. Normal stuff, right? Well. The first time, a random dude I was playing with invited me to a stack with this other girl and the games were going good, all was fine. I felt I was being as nice to her as I’d be to anyone (maybe a bit excited it was finally a potential girl gaming bestie) but she was kinda cold/dismissive. Maybe she had a bad day.

Well, we played together a few more times and I played with him alone, too, and I even saw her in enemy teams a few times and I was always happy to see her. Hell, once people were dogging on her in public chat for playing badly and I defended her. She said nothing back by the way. Didn’t even accept my friend request. Later on, I learn from that dude she apparently hates me (????). To a point where she was telling people when she saw me on enemy team to make me miserable.

I felt kinda awful since I’ve been nothing but nice to her but figured it was a one off. Anyone can be mean and weird, right?

WELP. I’ve recently made a girl friend in the same game. I wasn’t even worried or anything since I kinda chalked up the last girl I met in the same way to being a weirdo. With this one, we were getting on super well, chatting on Discord, and I invited her to my group with 2 male friends, so we can play more together. It was super fun for weeks. Absolutely NO issues.

Then today, I get a message from one of them with screenshots where she says that she hates me. I check and I’m blocked. I’m scratching my head thinking how have I offended her so badly because we said goodbyes last night, chatted and all was good. I ask the one who let me know to investigate. She cannot explain why the behavior out of the sudden, other than “she feels a strong dislike and doesn’t trust me”. Then she follows up with “I generally don’t get on well with girls.”

Ok???? Then why befriend me? Why hang around for weeks and show NO sign of anything being wrong?

NGL this kinda broke me. I’ve been crying and feeling crap all day today. Mind you, I have girl friends IRL. I’m not so offputting that I cannot make a female friend, I think. Yet every one I met online has just turned out to be so horrible for no reason? Now I’m just sitting here wondering if all those women who say they don’t like girls online or calling them e-girls are actually right and I’m only finding that out at prime age of 30?

I’m climbing back to Cele (my peak) and I’m running into some HORRENDOUS wall every time I get on my GM2 game.

For the past 24h, I genuinely win, get my rank up game, get the absolutely most horrendous match/team in game’s existence, lose, get a win, get on my GM2 game AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS.

If this happened once or twice, sure. Random. Just unlucky. But this was 5 times. And I’ve hit GM2 before. And GM1. And Cele3. NEVER had such an issue.

Like why the fuck did Guang decide I cannot get to GM2 all of the sudden😭 I swear all my games are fine then it’s rank up and I’m getting throwers, DC’s at the exact time when the game won’t cancel the match, Punishers going 5 18 like WHY!

I’m BEYOND tired of 3 subpar DPS insta locking on defense. I used to ask them to swap to tank. Beg even. I learned tanking, so later I’d offer I will go tank if one of them goes supp. Nope. Just ignore and go in and get melted in 5 seconds flat because a single tank dies.

Now, when I see 3 of them, I just instantly go 4th DPS. Mind you, this doesn’t make them swap either. But after we lose 2 points in record time, suddenly a shit Blade is lord Mag, so I swap back to heal and what do ya know, we hold the point and maybe even win. Who would have thought!

Genuinely, I don’t care anymore. I’m not healing for 3 dps on defense and I’m not solo tanking. 4th DPS, lose, move on. In the process, maybe one of them gains a braincell and we turn things around.

I’ve played this game since s1. I have 1k+ hours on it. Every time someone gets into a loser’s q, they’re instantly told to put the game down and come back next day for wins. As if that actually worked.

I’ve done it all. I put the game down for hours, days, weeks after a small losing streak. I’d log back on a day later and be welcomed with 2 more losses. Then 2 more next day etc. Until one day, I decided to just sit through the losses until I get wins. What do ya know. A massive losing streak… magically followed by an insane winning streak ON THE SAME DAY, playing the same characters. I’m talking 8 losses in a row followed by 10 wins. It actually makes one laugh.

This game’s matchmaking system is absolutely crap and no amount of breaks will make you win your next one. The actual way to go about Rivals is to tilt in a loser’s q til you’ve ascended beyond all humanly feelings and then Guang bestows you with a winning streak. I promise you. Don’t take a break Lose 10 in a row. 110% guaranteed you have a winning streak after this.

I KNOW she’s fun to play. I know she’s strong. I get it because I lorded her and enjoyed it a lot! BUT she isn’t good into every comp!!!

Her ult is especially susceptible to high damage output characters. If they have Puni, Phoenix, MK, Starlord, SG, even Bucky, the ult gets MELTED. Instantly. Which basically makes the team have one support ult—mine.

And don’t get me started on the ult usage either. No people to melt it? Doesn’t matter because the Fox just goes ahead of everyone, including tanks, to get kills. I hardly ever see a Fox use the ult to either walk with the team or, god forbid, help defend it.

Then it’s the neutral which is super strong on Fox. Do they ever use it to help the team? NO. They use it to DPS. Absolutely, if the situation allows it, go ahead and DPS. Don’t be a healbot. Why are you trying to 2v1 enemy tanks though? Why are you dpsing a mile away from the other support and TELEPORT TO RANDOM DPS instead of said support while they’re getting clobbered in the backline?

The worst thing is that Fox farms Aces for no reason, so despite the issues and obvious weaknesses (like the ult), those mofos never swap. NEVER. I have genuinely seen Champion Spiders swap but NEVER EVER a Fox. Not once since she launched. And half the time they pull a Jeff and start throwing if you ask.

I’m just fucking tired man. Like genuinely tired. I see a Fox instalock at this point and know it’s ggs.

Before anyone comes for me, I lorded WF, so I understand she’s a GREAT character.

However, to compensate for her strong anti-dive kit, her ult is buns. There are like 10 characters who insta melt it. And on top of that, most foxes will not actually use it defensively but RUN ahead of the entire team including tanks to get kills for themselves.

I’M TIRED OF COHEALING WITH FOXES. If the other team has puni, SWAP. If it has iron man or phoenix or starlord or MK or god forbid a mix of the two, SWAP. Your ult is useless. We’re running on a single healer ult from me. Girl.

But because WF farm Aces like Jeffs, they just refuse to swap. It doesn’t matter they virtually throw the game because enemies play counters and they have 2 proper ults.

Ugh.

I’m an Invis main (GM player) but can play any supp. I thought it’d be a fun discussion.

For me, best:

- Jeff (ALWAYS patty caking, always helping, always looking out ily Jeffrey)

- Gambit (patty caking kween fr!!!)

- Loki (they always try to help ngl, back in the day less so, but since flank Loki is dead they’re good as coheals fr)

Mid:

- Rocket (sometimes will patty cake, mostly scurries away)

- Mantis (will try to keep me up, but she’s not built for that)

- Adam (can’t really patty cake, but if not a DPS in a wig, will try to help)

- Deadpool (I mean you’re doing nothing generally girl but I’m glad you shoot at me in a pickle)

Worst:

- White Fox (I hate yall sorry not sorry, selfish DPS players in a wig and NEVER swap when countered because they think their ACE means sth lol)

- Luna (DPS Lunas are a plague and half of them suck too, will whine if you don’t keep her up, but not patty cake)

- Ultron (get tf outta here, the times I had a droid on me I can count on my one hand and I’ve been here since s1)

- CND (get off the fucking cloak girl, we’re dying!!!)

What about yall?

I swear every other “support” I get in GM is a wannabe fucking DPS Luna who does 12k healing in 20 minutes with 5 finals. Like if you gonna DPS on a strong support at least tell us beforehead mama so we can get a 3rd healer to actually ya know HEAL???? And ong if you wanna DPS on her actually DPS and get as much kills as a DPS does, not 5 strays😭
