It’s quite nice. Coming from a beach person, I didn’t think I would like coming here, but it’s very nice.
I went to Mission Viejo’s 4th of July festivities yesterday and happened to come across this high school age band, only listened to two songs but holy smokes….. Iphone didn’t capture acoustics well but bass and drums rhythm section was SOLID, guitars legit, and the singer had a Robert Plant sound. I was f@cking impressed .
The band’s name (I think) was “School of Rock”, they had several members that would switch instruments, different singers, I mean just crazy talent. Hell, I was in a band for several years and we didn’t sound this good LOL. And they are in high school.
Just impressed that a new generation appreciates this music and are taking the torch. The Kids (in OC) Are Alright.
Showed up 5:30pm on a weekday. They had multiple attendants steering you towards open lanes (low attendance means they close lanes). I think I saw 5 other cars there. Obviously a secret for now .
Super excited to finally pump gas , only to learn my membership expired ! Not to worry, they actually had a membership booth there where I was able to update my membership, and off I was pumping $4.69 gas.
A little confused on which way to exit , would suggest don’t go back to the same entrance driveway.
Overall 9/10. Would be 10/10 if they had hot dogs.
Edit: For all the summer travelers driving by to go/come to San Diego, this stop is right off the freeway .
Edit 2: To be clear, what makes this unique (first in the USA) is that this is NOT attached to a Costco warehouse , but instead is a standalone 40 pump gas station.

We just bought a 2026 RX350H, and as I see other 5th Gens drive around I keep thinking they are smaller than the 4th gen.
Was surprised to read the wiki that isn’t the case:
“The fifth-generation RX maintains the same overall length as the former model, although the wheelbase has grown to 2,850 mm (112.2 in) (extended by 60 mm [2.4 in]) with the wider body at 1,920 mm (75.6 in) (widened by 25 mm [1.0 in]). “

Hi, just learned that in Canada there seems to be a theft target on these 2023-2026 RX. Does this apply also to US? What is driving these stats? Bad design?
2026 RX-350H owner for 3 weeks. Don’t drive it much at night, but tonight noticed the high beams kept turning on, then off by themselves . WTF??
But then figured out this is a Lexus, maybe that’s by design. I’m sure there’s a way to run this off, haven’t looked yet .

Yep, figured out how to stop the tailgate at the desired height , so I preset it low first outside of garage, and wanted to measure the height of tailgate relative to ground level, then measure rollup garage door and make sure there is ample clearance.
Was surprised there wasn’t .
I have the tailgate height so low (I’m way under 6’ and I’m hitting my head on the tailgate at its up position), and even at this height, it approx measures 81”, my garage door in up position appears to be about the same height and would interfere.
Well hell, then wouldn’t it just slam into the garage door going up if the tailgate was set up for average 6’?
Anybody else have this prob?
