He'll be at home for a long project, and maybe I'll get a surprise ren visit! Happy dancing time!

He's been gone for weeks at a time on long projects far enough away he can't come home easily for a weekend. But he just told me instead of having to do the project in Green Bay, the project near our town is next!

AND we thought he was going to be far away. But I might see if we could get in a visit to Ohio Renaissance Festival too! He loves them, too, and was who introduced me soi know if possible we will.

When he told me on video call I did a seated happy dance, just so glad we get to play house again. He's gone all the time it seems lately, it's always so special when he's home.

Found a place I feel free and happy! I swear there's ✨️magic ✨️ on these grounds.

I fast danced in public for the first time as an adult and didn't care who saw me! There are no bad vibes here, such an air of acceptance and joy. I had a new 25 yd skirt and took great delight in twirling it like a child. Found the Kissing Bridge after 3 years at this fair!

Had my tarot read and felt like it was accurate, nice long reading. Saw some amazing bands- Fortress Dwellers, Pirates Creed, Hexxen, Celtica Nova and saw the funny Suds and Buds show. Bit of day drinking, lot of shopping. Wonderful day with my husband 💕 He introduced me to this life, and I'm so glad he saw that these would be my people and this would be my thing. Walked through those gates 3 years ago and I was forever changed.

A few pics from 7th weekend of KHRF

There's going to be more, my head is too full of happiness and I can't edit down yet. But I'm also just still so excited!

I had my tarot read, I twirled in my spinny skirt, I splashed in a couple small puddles, I danced in public several times and didn't care who saw me! I learned how to pop a big clacker fan from some really sweet young people. We found the Kissing Bridge. We saw Fortress Dwellers finally, Pirates Creed, Hexxen, Celtica Nova, Suds and Buds. Bought perhaps too much.

This place is magic. I am so free in this environment. I feel like I can be myself. So grateful to the people who make the magic happen, and to my husband for knowing these would be my people and this would be my thing.

Pirates weekend KHRF!

Such a good time! Saw all my favorites and some familiar faces. I have so many pictures. Next time I'll get more garb pics, going back to see Fortress Dwellers in July.

Will be taking an inexpensive full length mirror in the truck for getting ready though. Day 2 bodice ribbon was in my belt. All day. I certainly couldn't see it.

And how do y'all stay looking good all day on hot fair days with portapotties? Is there a secret dressing room i need a password to? Had lots of "ren hair can't care" moments.

Have been waiting all year, and the magic wasn't there.

Pirates weekend, featuring my favorite pirate band. Several new features, shows and vendors I was wanting to see. Have been waiting all year.

Husband invited his ex fiancee daughter and her husband. He helped raise her and was a "good" part of her life. Im glad they reconnected. But it blew aĺl my plans to hell, and when we were actually at a show she would not stfu.

They didn't listen to me and we got to the pirate band show too late for a good table, couldn't see over line of people for food. I perched on top of a picnic table to see better. Got down to dance in place a little, and TRIED to get back up. Busted my ass, scraped elbows up pretty good. Tailbone hurts like hell.

There was going to be tomorrow just the two of us, a chance to find the magic again. But no, I do believe I've ruined it. I dont think im walking and sitting on wood benches tomorrow.

Also, I found myself so jealous of her. He called her a brat like he does me and gave her a lot of attention, often leaving me trailing behind, or at the least not part of the conversation.

I wanted to love this weekend, was completely ready to. I feel like she invaded it and he betrayed me by inviting someone into OUR space. That's a bit ridiculous and extreme, and I need to make damn sure it doesn't come out of my mouth. Would probably start some shit I can't fully explain. And he brought me to the fair. I wouldn't even have the experience without him, or many other things. More gratitude, less attitude.

Outfit #1 for KHRF next weekend, first draft

Glad I did a test run since my navy blue skirt has vanished. Had this skort that'll work, I hope.

Newly added this year, boot bells and a chainmail pouch(barely visible by mug) to add to the black pouch, mug frog (new charms) and belt bells I got last year and dagger, trinket pouch and water bottle holder from the start.

Still need to find a way to hold my Pirates Creed fan, and find a way to attach a cool treasure I found this year I want to carry.

Hazel-Atlas Criss Cross one pound and one stick butter dishes.

Read somewhere the one pound was made 1936-38. Just happy it's home. I already had a one stick, but this one was in the auction with it! They'll join the sets of refrigerator dishes in the kitchenalia cabinet.

Hazel-Atlas Criss Cross one pound butter dish-and one stick version.

Saw something in research that said the one pounds were only made 1936-38. They'll join the two refrigerator sets and the other one stick in the kitchenalia cabinet.

So happy to have them home! Had ordered one before and seller fell ill and didn't get several packages to various people out. This one was a bit more, but I needed it.

Blenko elephant bookends in cobalt blue 🐘 💙

Husband brought these home from Lansing, MI for part of my Mother's Day.

I love them, though when unwrapping them I saw the gash on one. Poor thing. It's surface, but big. He didn't notice it in the store- but only paid 65 for the set. Won't be selling them on anytime soon, so I'm thrilled!

I smooched the moose at the oldest continually running restaurant in Michigan!

Sleder's in Traverse City, MI. Was cold while we were there, but being beside the water makes me happy.

There's a tradition to kiss Randolph the moose. The bartender will ring the bell for you, too!

Love being able to travel with my husband to the different cities for his projects.
