If you could switch to any other Sobha project for a 1BR (~AED 1M), which would you choose and why?

I'm currently booked into Sobha Sanctuary Apartments (1BR) at around AED 1M, but I still have the option to switch to another Sobha project before signing the SPA.

If you had the choice, would you stick with Sanctuary or switch to another Sobha project?

I'm only interested in Sobha projects (no other developers), with a budget close to AED 1M for a 1-bedroom, either off-plan or a good resale opportunity.

Which project would you recommend and why? I'm mainly looking for the best capital appreciation over the next 5–7 years based on location, entry price, future supply, and resale potential.

Is Sobha Sanctuary a good investment? Need honest opinions.

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying a 1-bedroom in Sobha Sanctuary and wanted to get some unbiased opinions.

Is the general sentiment around this project positive?

Is this area a good long-term investment, or has most of the growth already happened?

Would you invest in Dubai real estate now, or wait in case of a market correction?

How does Sobha Sanctuary compare to similar nearby projects?

I'd really appreciate insights from investors, homeowners, or anyone familiar with the Dubai property market. Thanks!

Please Help Me Replace My Lost Phone

Hi everyone,

I'm really embarrassed to ask this, but I'm in a difficult situation and could really use some help.

I recently lost my phone, and I can't afford to replace it. My father is no longer with us, and I don't have anyone I can ask for financial support. Right now, I'm only hoping to buy a basic second-hand Android phone so I can stay connected for university, work, and daily life.

If anyone is able to donate even a small amount, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps, and it would mean more to me than I can express.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Even if you're unable to help, I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my post. ❤️

Please Help Me Get My Phone Back 🙏

Today I lost my phone, and I'm completely devastated. I can't afford to buy a new one. I live far away from my family, and I honestly don't know what to do.

I accidentally left it in an inDrive Which I book from IMTIAZ E-11/ISB to my apartment in E11-2. When I called the rider, he said he had already completed two more rides and that there was no phone in the car. Soon after that, my phone was switched off.

Everything was in that phone and phone cover—my SIM, bank and other accounts, contacts, photos, my university card, my CNIC (ID card), and other important documents. I also have to pay my hostel rent this week, and right now I have nothing with me.

I've already reported the incident to the police, but I don't have much confidence that they'll be able to help.

I don't even know what to do next. I can't tell my family because I don't have my father anymore, and my mother will panic so much. I'm trying to stay strong, but I'm feeling completely lost.

If anyone has any advice or can help in any way, please let me know. And if by any chance someone comes across my phone, I sincerely request you to return it. It would honestly mean the world to me.

How can you tell if a very nonchalant, quiet guy likes you?

How do you figure out whether a guy likes you when he's the complete opposite of the stereotypical "obvious" guy?

I'm not talking about someone who's outgoing, flirty, constantly texting, making moves, or openly showing interest. I'm talking about a guy who's naturally quiet, nonchalant, private, and very good at hiding his emotions.

Some people are genuinely hard to read. They don't chase, they don't openly flirt, and they don't wear their feelings on their sleeve. Yet they can still develop strong feelings for someone.

For those of you who are like this yourselves, or have been close to someone like this, what subtle signs gave it away? What behaviors, patterns, or small changes made you realize they were interested?

I'm specifically looking for insights beyond the usual "if he likes you, you'll know" or "he'll just make a move" answers. What are the less obvious signs when the person is naturally reserved and difficult to read?

I seriously need advice before I lose my mind completely

I really need advice because I feel stuck.

About a year ago, my younger sister and I moved to Islamabad for university. We rented a 2-bedroom apartment 5 months ago and decided to share it with a friend to reduce expenses.

She mainly moved because her boyfriend (our classmate) lives in the same building. At first, I didn't think much of it, but over time things became stressful. She regularly goes out very late at night (sometimes 2-3 AM), spends most of her time with him, and their relationship drama constantly spills into our lives, whenever they got into a fight she acts like she's having respiratory problems, and I got panicked every time untill i realised it was just her attention seeking technique.

Her boyfriend's roommates are two of my close friends, so unfortunately I hear a lot about what's going on from both sides. Even his own roommates are frustrated with him because he shares private details of their relationship with everyone and creates unnecessary drama.

The biggest issue is that her parents trust me. Her mother has told me that they felt comfortable letting her move away because of the people she was living with. Recently her mother visited and told me how much faith her family has in her and how her father only agreed to let her move for her studies.

The problem is that I no longer feel comfortable with what's happening. We already got kicked out of our previous place after she was caught with her boyfriend somewhere she shouldn't have been. Now at our new apartment, there are still late-night outings and behavior that I don't want associated with my home.

I have already talked to her and told her that she needs to take responsibility for her own choices. She agreed and said nobody would ever blame me, but I still feel anxious. My classmates already judge me because I'm her flatmate and assume we're the same type of people.

I don't want to tell her parents because it could seriously damage her family relationships. I also can't easily replace her because we're students, rent is expensive, and we have a lease agreement.

At this point, what would you do?

- Would you ask her to move out?

- Would you move out yourself when possible?

- Would you stay but create stricter boundaries?

- How do I protect myself if something goes wrong in the future?

I care about her, but I'm exhausted and tired of being dragged into this situation.

Gym in E-11 for students with discount.

Hi, I’m looking for a gym in E-11/1 or E-11/2 that’s affordable (student budget). I found one, but it’s 7K per month plus a 7K registration fee, I can afford the monthly fee but the registration fee is too much.

Do you guys have any suggestions for any other gym or how to negotiate in gyms about registration fee 😭

Intereste to learn about Astrology and Horoscope.

Hi everyone ✨ I’ve been into astrology for a while and want to understand it more deeply beyond just horoscopes. How do you personally use it (birth charts, transits, etc.), and how accurate do you find it in real life? 🌙

And I wanna learn more if there's anything as much interesting.

Just ended FRIENDS season

I just finished watching all 10 seasons of a show for the first time in my life, and I genuinely can’t get over it 😭

What’s making it worse is how relatable it felt. I’m part of a group of 6 friends who hang out a lot, mostly at my apartment. I love cooking for them, and a lot of the dynamics in the show felt really close to my real life.

Now it just feels weirdly empty finishing it… like I’ve been living in that world for so long and suddenly it’s gone. The only difference is my friends are a lot less funny and chaotic than the characters 😭

Has anyone else felt this “post-series emptiness” after finishing a long show? How do you get over it?

How do you get over a crush when friendship makes it impossible?

I (22F) have a huge crush on someone, and he has absolutely no idea.

The funny thing is, I know exactly why I'm unable to move on from what should've been a simple crush: he's also my best friend.

We met on the very first day of university orientation. I noticed him immediately and thought he was incredibly attractive. Later, I found out he was in my class. I made a conscious effort to become friends with him, and somehow, over time, we became really close. Now, I'd confidently say he's my best friend.

The problem is that I'm completely stuck.

I care about him a lot. I genuinely want him to be happy, and I often go out of my way for him. The ironic part is that I act so nonchalant that he'd probably never suspect I have feelings for him. Everyone in our class sees us as "just good friends," and honestly, that's understandable. My personality has never been the lovey-dovey, openly affectionate type.

Another issue is that he's ridiculously handsome.

I know this might sound insecure, but sometimes I genuinely feel like I'm not capable of pulling someone like him. He's one of those people who can walk into a room and immediately stand out. Meanwhile, I'm overweight, not conventionally beautiful, but people often tell me I'm attractive. Still, in my head, I struggle to imagine someone like him seeing me as a potential partner.

Sometimes I wish I could completely transform myself—not because I think I need to, but because I feel like he deserves a 10/10 woman. And yet, at the same time, I selfishly don't want him ending up with someone else who doesn't understand him the way I do.

I've always had his back as a friend. I'm actually really good at being a friend. But lately, I've been wondering what it feels like to want something more than friendship so badly and still choose not to pursue it.

One of the biggest things holding me back is that I'm a practical person.

I know what I want in life: stability, a good career, and eventually a stable marriage. As much as I adore him, I honestly don't see him fitting that picture right now. He's a wonderful person, but not necessarily someone I'd describe as stable enough for the future I envision.

Of course, sometimes I let myself be delusional.

I think, "What if he gets his life together? What if I lose the weight, become the best version of myself again, and somehow things work out between us?"

But then reality kicks in, and I remind myself that life doesn't work based on "what ifs."

The worst part is that getting over a crush usually isn't that difficult for me. But because we're such close friends and spend so much time together, I never really get the distance needed to move on.

So now I'm stuck in this weird place where I know we're probably better off as friends, I don't want to ruin what we have, and yet a part of me wishes he knew that my feelings for him go far beyond friendship.

Has anyone else ever been in this situation?
