I want to write some fanfiction with Elle as a main character instead of avid and I want it to loosely follow the original timeline.

My version of Elle will be the monster hunter who had to kill her best friend when he went feral, and she will go to Oakhurst looking for a cure and/or answers because before he died, he infected her during their fight. Elle is going to be less...jumpy and more cautious and won't be as vocal about vampires living amongst the townsfolk. She'll also be a little less social and would prefer to keep a distance between her and the other townsfolk for fear of turning into a monster and hurting them.

As with the series, she'll start losing control of her humanity and will seek a way to get rid of the curse, and that way turns out to be vampirism. She, however, won't flirt with Scott (because he's gay and she's in love with another), but she will be thankful to him for curing her (it might still be Shelby who cures her, idky on that point).

I'm going to take some liberties with my story but I was hoping to get some key canon events that I could weave into the fanfic. It's been a while since I've watched the series so my memory is a bit hazy when it comes to things that happened, and I don't want to spend ages rewatching everything right now (life often gets in the way).

I remember a few key things (spoiler for safety): >!house judgement competition, avid turning the first beacon in town, Scott and Owen turning Pyro, those same three turning Shelby, Legundo and Owen having a fight that leads to Owen turning Legundo, Owen and Pyro killing Avid then Pyro getting killed by Shelby, and Abolish giving Owen the chance to be cured and him choosing death, Scott confronting Pyro for telling others about his mine, Cleo killing Legundo once he turned the rest of the townsfolk, Ren dying in a fight because Martyn was killed.!< There's probably more I remember but again, it's hazy.

So, what are some key events that I might be able to add into my fanfic?

Problem

I can't seem to open any of my files. I noticed this first on my EMTEC 32 gb usb flash drive and then I checked my downloads folder and I can open only one file but not the others because it's a webp image and not a jpg. every time, I get the error:

>Windows cannot find 'E:/(filename).jpg'. Make sure your typed the name correctly, and then try again.

I've updated the drivers and I've made sure that photos was set as the default program. I was able to access my files just the other day* but now, I'm unable to. I've tried finding some reddit threads that could be of help but no one's situation is the same as mine from what I've seen.

EDIT: okay, it seems like if I right click and select "open with", then select anything but photos (ie: firefox, paint, snipping tool), it will open the files and let me see the image. photos for some reason, is not working which is weird because it was working the other day*.

does this mean that there's an issue with photos itself? and if so, or if not, how I can fix the problem? I'd like to be able to see my screenshots and my art without having to right click for an option all the time.

* by other day, I think it's anywhere from 2-4 days ago. my memory isn't the best so I'm unsure of an exact amount of days, but it was definitely no more than 4 days ago.

Edit #2: okay, I managed to fix it. I went to photo settings, scrolled down to the repair section, clicked repair then just in case, I also clicked reset and now photos is fixed. don't know why it broke but I'm happy now.

playing on pc and it's the first time I've ever played RDR1. I've been playing RDR2 for the past month but I finally had the funds to get RDR1.

is there any tips or tricks I should know before I get into the game? (other than staying off the subreddit, of course)

also, no spoilers please except in the case of my horse. if my horse is going to be killed in a cutscene, please tell me because I want to be more prepared than I was in RDR2.

if I have my mouse on my main screen and not my tablet, and I move the scroll wheel, it zooms in and out on my browser and it's quite annoying. I had this issue fixed ages ago to where the wheel affected my canvas and only my canvas, but I have no idea how I did it.

I've tried searching but the internet was pretty unhelpful. any ideas how to fix this so I don't keep zooming in on my browser as I'm trying to watch videos?

- technically modded but only with some basic fabric mods like mouse tweaks, world edit, shaders, etc.

I'm working in a test world and want to work with mob heads, but the only ones that show up in the creative menu are the 7 vanilla ones. I tried using a command to get the vanilla tweaks mob heads, but when I type "/give [my username] head" it only shows the 5 vanilla ones (and the 2 skulls if I typed skull) as an option.

is there a specific command to get a specific head? like say I want a salmon head, is there a command I can type to get the salmon head?

*note, the only way I can get the specific mob head right now is if I spawn the mob in and kill it, and that's just kind of tedious because there's not a 100% change of the head dropping.
