Regarding the Ragnarok choice, morally

No, I'm not talking about how we're turning the dead magic guy into a weapon, although in hindsight that's pretty fucked

Instead, we have the weapon shop owner, instead of escaping Narshe to presumably a safer haven, while having an unknown source of food and water, in the middle of an abandoned city filled with monsters, chooses to wait for you, in the hopes that you find him.

You meet him, and he immediately states to you his profession. He's been a blacksmith for SEVENTY years, and has the utmost confidence that he can use his skills to forge this rare stone into the greatest weapon in the game (well, second greatest). He senses a great power in it, and is ready to put his skills into, what is presumably the ultimate test, and give you a powerful tool to use against the person that destroyed the entire world.

And you can just completely shit on him, someone who probably doesn't know what the stone actually is (since he calls it a strange power), and tell him "yeah I want the stone". 70 years of being a blacksmith, the opportunity to finally do something amazing in the world, flushed down the drain. And if you're playing any version with a post game (which fortunately for the old man is not the Pixel Remaster version), the Esper is ultimately the best choice since you can get unlimited Ragnaroks, which also just sucks even more for him.

Poor guy.

KONOSUKE TAKESHITA is the best Japanese guest commentator

He only came down to commentate for the semis matches, but he's already performing at a level far above every other guest commentator, minus maybe Despy who I still think TAKE performed better than. He's the perfect mix of excited and analytical, whereas most other guests tend to just keep to themselves and remain quiet until prodded, even if they have a brilliant mind like Yuya Uemura, or are known to be rabunctious like Yuto-Ice. Although if you're not a fan of "UOHHH" excited screams, then maybe you won't like TAKE, because he legitimately sounds excited throughout the match.

I'll grant that Milano does tend to have very good chemistry with all of his commentators, so they might not want to intrude on that (I don't know how they manage to scream the move at the exact same time). But when TAKE realises this and remains quiet, when the commentator prods him, he doesn't give a short, confused answer, but is very direct with his words while directly telling the story of the match. Some examples, starting with Callum vs Oiwa (these are all me amateur translating quotes, any reference to "I" is in reference to TAKESHITA himself):

  • (after Callum Excalibur'd Oiwa on the outside and rolled him back in, answering a question about the difficulty of the G1): When you get this far, you get high, a G1 high. I can say it now, against Goto, I hurt my ankle, but when I faced Shingo, it completely healed. That's the G1 high, the adrenaline. When you get this far, some of the damage you take, you don't even notice it.

  • (when Oiwa locked in the Big Rock for the first time, after the commentator noted that TAKE was caught in this before): Yeah, when you're in this situation, you really can't think properly. (after a bit of commentary from Milano) It's important to think about your moves when you're facing different opponents, but you can't really think properly after that headlock.

  • (after Callum started a comeback with a Landslide): Actually Callum is strong in explosive bursts, which is actually quite similar to me, so that's why I understand him. Each time I hit a big move and my opponent kicks out, I have to stop and think how I should proceed with my next move.

  • (after Callum low blow'd and rolled Oiwa up): OI OI OI OIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOI (he fully begins rooting for Oiwa here, begging for Oiwa to kick out after each of Callum's big follow up moves)

  • (when Oiwa reapplied the Big Rock and refused to let go): This, this, THIS! This is Oiwa's pro wrestling. (phrased in an almost Big Baby way, he used a child's "pouty" term for it, making it sound like Oiwa's strength is unfair)

During Yuya vs Tsuji (he was cheering for Yuya):

  • (when Tsuji locked in the first Boston Crab): Ah, it's that move... I've BEEN THROUGH that move... (other commentator immediately capitalizes on it and points out this is the move TAKE tapped out to in the Tokyo Dome)

  • (after Yuya breaks out of the first Boston Crab): He (Tsuji) has been aiming for Yuya's back the whole time, you'd normally think to continue targeting the back, but in this situation against this kind of opponent, it's more difficult than that. (he proceeds to list a lot of Tsuji's moves) as a champion, he has all those options to use.

  • (during the second Boston Crab on Yuya): This is when Yuya has to work the hardest, and this is when he needs the fans cheers the most

  • (after the match): It's just my opinion, but I think Yuya Uemura wanted to win with the Deadbolt. 2 years ago, Uemura-san got injured, then in the semis, Tsuji used the Deadbolt against David Finlay (in Ryogoku). It was amazing, and while it wasn't necessarily a case of wanting to return the favour, it was probably moreso a matter of pride.

SANADA observation following his match with Yuto-Ice two block nights ago

I made a post about that match awhile back, but tl;dr, SANADA baited Yuto into playing his game and won because of it.

The point I wanted to bring up is how he seemed conflicted to cheat, and only cheated after Kanemaru handed him the guitar.

After that Yuto-Ice match, with his remaining two matches vs TAKESHITA and Shingo, he didn't cheat at all. He was maybe still a little snake-y (pretending to go for a handshake with Shingo at the start), but even though he lost to TAKESHITA, it was ultimately his fighting spirit that helped him withstand ALL of Shingo's finishers, and roll him up.

As a neat little maybe unintentional parallel, the last time we had a fighting spirit finisher ignoring moment was with former J5G member Yuya Uemura, against Shingo's partner, Drilla Moloney. Also notably, this was also the only G1 win for SANADA where he didn't cheat at all, although I'd argue his resilience is the reason he ultimately beat Tsuji even if he went for a low blow at the very end.

As a small aside, his O'Connor Bridge had been countered in every other match, and I was starting to think that he literally could not do it anymore due to his arm. That snake baited me.

As someone who I think many thought didn't deserve to be in the tournament, he had a standout veteran performance in a block with so many breakout performances from guys like Tsuji, Oiwa, and Boltin. SANADA deserves to stay in the G1.

G1 Climax 36 B Block second-to-last Block night results (11/08/2026)

Zack Sabre Jr. > HENARE via Triangle Choke

Drilla Moloney > Ren Narita via Drilla Killa

Aaron Wolf > Callum Newman via that Triangle Choke thing that he does

Yuya Uemura > Gabe Kidd via rollup

Ren Narita and Callum Newman only need to win to proceed. Callum could also theoretically make it through via a multiman tie without the need for a deadlock.

Yuya Uemura needs to win, then either one of Callum or Narita to lose

Gabe Kidd needs to win, then either one of Callum or Yuya to lose

HENARE has a complicated multiman tie scenario where he's still in. He needs to win his match, of course.

OSKAR, Drilla and Wolf are only in via deadlocks. OSKAR and Wolf obviously need to win their match. Drilla can only watch.

ZSJ has no scenario where he makes it through.

SANADA vs Yuto-Ice was genius

SANADA's resurgence has been great this tournament ever since the Tsuji match, but the storytelling against Yuto is so genius that I do legit think it warrants its own post, because it's gonna get lost in the shuffle of the other fantastic A Block stuff otherwise.

Yuto-Ice said that the very first match he watched was back in AJPW, and it featured one Seiya Sanada. He said that the match he was most looking forward to this G1 was vs SANADA, and noted that SANADA didn't pull a single dirty tactic during the preview tag. You can see it here. SANADA, the smart veteran he is, exploited this.

He wrestled not in his usual tights, but his Sanada Seiya tights, with the stars and all. Yuto is immediately hyped by this, and SANADA follows this up with a clean break followed by a lock up, convincing Yuto he wants to fight fairly.

What he's doing is trying to bait Yuto into playing his game. And it absolutely works. Go and rewatch the match, because if I'm not mistaken, this is the ONLY Yuto-Ice match this tournament that never has anyone leaving the ring. It never devolves into a brawl, never devolves into what Yuto-Ice specializes in, because Yuto wants to face the Sanada Seiya he saw back at AJPW, and that Sanada Seiya fought fairly.

What we're made to think towards the tail end of the match is that SANADA doesn't fight fairly. Ref bump, Kanemaru comes out, whiskey mist, knocks Yuto down, and hands SANADA the guitar. SANADA seems to contemplate for a bit, before ultimately using it, and giving Yuto his fourth KO loss, after doing using a bit of veteran wiliness to make sure the ref doesn't suspect anything. Cased close, SANADA is still a snake.

Here's the thing. I don't think it's that simple. This is the only SANADA match where outside interference occurs, every other match, including against the IWGP fucking champion, he wrestled by himself. Everytime a ref bump happens, SANADA is quick to capitalize on it, but here? He didn't. He continued to wrestle normally. It's only after Kanemaru came out and handed him the guitar, that he decided to use it.

Sure, he played it off like it was nothing. In the backstage comments, he even gave advice to Yuto. "When you're fighting against me, think. Don't feel." But as Yuto-Ice himself said, it's hard to get a read on SANADA. And just like he's been doing ever since his return, we're left wondering what the hell is the direction they're going with for SANADA, and I think more than anyone else, SANADA knows this.

G1 Climax 08/01/2026 A Block results

Points denote points after the match

Boltin Oleg (8) > SANADA (4)

Really fast match, almost a squash

Yuto-Ice (6) > Jake Lee (4)

Jake Lee lost to a cuffed guy. Also Yuto-Ice couldn't figure out how to work handcuffs and needed a Young Lion's help, though he and Jake played it off well

Shingo Takagi (6) > Great-o-Khan (4)

Shingo almost got a swirlie. Otherwise standard 2026 G1 GoK match.

Yota Tsuji (8) > Ryohei Oiwa (6)

Absolutely fantastic match, any amount of words I type cannot do it justice. If you enjoyed the heavy counter-based offense of 2010s NJPW, this match is for you. It is unfortunate that Meltz's WON Ratings don't seem to cater for non-main events nowadays, although they ultimately don't mean much they do help bring eyes to the product and the glory of this match will likely only be known to us.

KONOSUKE TAKESHITA (10) > Hirooki Goto (4)

Also great like you'd expect. Samurai dad is now on the bottom of the block, having also lost to both GoK and Jake.

UPCOMING A BLOCK MATCHES:

Yuto-Ice vs SANADA

Jake Lee vs Great-o-Khan

Hirooki Goto vs Ryohei Oiwa

KONOSUKE TAKESHITA vs Shingo Takagi

Boltin Oleg vs Yota Tsuji

Crow-Sourced seems kinda really strong to the point where there's no point running anything else in the loadout

For context I'm running Witchy Trigger Finger Vex, which I'm not sure where it stands in the overall meta, but it does seem to have reasonable synergy with the gun, or I guess any gun that shoots fast with a semi reasonable magazine size.

But I brought a Crow-Sourced (that I admit I think has a pretty decent roll) into my UVH6 mission to clear Subjugator & Thol with only the intention unlock UVH7, and I ended up clearing it with Platinum time. It wasn't even Incendiary. Although funnily enough my intention of wanting to quickly unlock UVH7 was to be able to farm Active Fire, but I actually got Active Fire to drop on UVH6 so it seems the wiki (and whoever else reported that information) are wrong on that front.

My question is if there are any other weapons that are fairly equivalent? I'll probably still use Ohm I Got for mobbing since that one's so braindead and chill to use. I see some people talk about Raiden but I'm not sure if it's as good or just annoying to farm, especially since Crow-Sourced benefits from Active Fire. At this point I might as well farm for a Shock/Incendiary/Corrosive Crow-Sourced + a mobbing gun and use that as my loadout.

As an additional salty side note I've been farming Crow-Sourced for 9 hours, got 4 drops and all four were Corrosive.

For Enhancements that look at licensed parts for buffs, does it look at the actual manufacturer itself

Basically just the title, I think I just suck at Google because for the life of me I cannot find the answer to this.

i.e. if I have a Wombo Combo with no licensed parts, would an Enhancement that affects Vladof-licensed parts affect it?

Cards that "objectify" my/stolen creatures?

I'm looking for cards that turn my creatures into non-creatures, or copy/steal an opponent's creature into a noncreature, whether it be via theft or otherwise. Ideally artifacts, but I'd take anything, really.

I'm sure there has to be more, but currently all I can think of is [[Machine God's Effigy]], [[Espers to Magicite]], [[Myrkul Lord of Bones]], and the new upcoming [[Supper for Spiders]]. I guess I could [[Imprisoned in the Moon]] my own thing.

I have no idea what I even want to do with the deck itself, but for now I just want to see what avenues I have. It's probably going to be a [[Mishra, Eminent One]] deck if it's mostly artifact stuff, since turning them back into creatures is funny.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I don't want them to lose their abilities, so Imprisoned in the Moon wouldn't work either

6 mana cards in Gruul that cheat creatures out from deck

I'm running a [[Xenagos, God of Revels]] deck, and my goal is to hit 6 mana by turn 3 in order to drop a card that can (constantly if possible) attempt to cheat fatties out, so that I can drop Xenagos on turn 4 and start punching people in the face.

Currently I have [[Guild Feud]], [[Triple Triad]], [[Lurking Predators]], [[Monster Manual]], [[Doors of Durin]] (although this one isn't the best for what I'm trying to do), [[See the Unwritten]] and [[Selvala's Stampede]], though the last three don't need to be done on turn 3 specifically.

On the creature side, I do have [[Etali, Primal Storm]], [[Ilharg, the Raze-Boar]], and [[Ojer Kaslem]], who is easily a deck MVP. I'm also considering the new [[Molecule Man]].

Is there anything I'm missing? RNG flipping cards off my library is fun for me. Notably I do run mana dorks so cards like [[Oath of Druids]] aren't really on the table, though I guess I still could.

Is there a mod that allows for summoning of multiple minions in a single cast

Basically the title - I don't mean mods that allow you to summon multiple minions as I have both Ordinator and Realm of Lorkhan for like, +6 minions? But rather a mod that allows me to perhaps store the summons I want into a single spell and then summon all 6 at once so I don't have to go through the hassle every combat.

Thanks!

[Best of the Super Juniors 33 SPOILERS] BOSJ 33 Winner

YOH defeats Kosei Fujita after a GTR, Boma Ye, Rainmaker, and finally, a Direct Drive.

YOH is your BOSJ 33 winner!

Post-match, YOH proceeds to deliver an Okada + Nakamura style promo, before then being interrupted by DOUKI and SHO sneaking from behind, but he fights them off and knocks them out with the steel plate that SHO uses. Then he calls his former CHAOS factionmates (Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and Toru Yano) to close out the show with him.

Other callbacks YOH did: Ushigoroshi (Hirooki Goto, twice), Itadaki Kari (YOSHI-HASHI), Toru Yano's general antics, Zack Sabre Jr.'s neck twist while doing Robbie Eagles' "Robbie Robbie Robbie" call, Tomohiro Ishii's headbutt

Best of the Super Junior 33 semifinals decided

A Block 1st and 2nd places: Master Wato, Kosei Fujita

B Block 1st and 2nd places: Robbie Eagles, YOH

Semi-final matches:

Master Wato vs YOH

Kosei Fujita vs Robbie Eagles

Other interesting angles on the show:

SHO came out to talk shit about how he beat Eagles, but Hyo made the "save" and held his leg for Eagles to hit him with the steel plate, before Hyo dragged him away, presumably to reclaim Myonmyon. We also now know what happens in a heavy multiman tie, that is, the person with the most tiebreakers over the others will make it through.

FULL MATCH RESULTS (bracketed points are the final score)

SHO (12) def. Jakob Austin Young (6) via Yujiro pretending to be Templario throwing in the towel during a Boston Crab

Taiji Ishimori (12) def. KUSHIDA (6) via Bloody Cross > pinfall

El Desperado (12) def. Yoshinobu Kanemaru (6) via Pinche Loco > pinfall

YOH (12) def. Daisuke Sasuke (6) via Five Star Clutch

Robbie Eagles (12) def. Hyo (6) via Ron Miller Special (I think that's how it's spelled) > submission

Kosei Fujita (12) def. Daiki Nagai (0) via Elevated Boston Crab > TKO

Valiente Jr. (6) def. Robbie X (10) via kneebar that I don't know the name of > submission

Twilight Diviner + Panharmonicon effect interaction

Will [[Twilight Diviner]] cause the entered creature to duplicate itself if [[Panharmonicon]] is on the field? Well I'm specifically looking at [[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines]], but same thing I'd imagine.

i.e. if I have both Twilight Diviner and the doubler on the field, and reanimate [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]], would I essentially create two token copies of Gary and drain my opponents for at least 7 x 3 x 2 = 42 damage?

I obviously say this as a biased NJPW fan, but I truly believe that EVIL is probably the best person from NJPW than WWE could have pulled save for the truly big names that would have been draws on their own (i.e. Hiroshi Tanahashi).

The first is that he's a master character worker. Just catch his "HA HA HA" from his recent NXT promo. He's really good at getting catchphrases over, which is not really something NJPW wrestlers are superb at (partially because it's not really something they need to do). And in some of his more recent promos, he's really good at sounding like a dickhead heel. His mannerisms are exaggerated but that's exactly what makes him such a good heel - he's not afraid to be the butt of the joke.

Second is that at the point of him leaving, he was genuinely the best English speaker among the Japanese wrestlers. The only other guys who I think have good English speaking abilities are like, SANADA and DOUKI, but personally I think EVIL was above them, even if it might be rehearsed. See this promo he cut on Jon Moxley from two years ago.

And last is his selling. He's not afraid to make exaggerated faces to sell his damage. It's hard to find clips of these just on the NJPW Youtube channel, but his faces when comically angered are hilarious and just makes you want him to lose - but despite this, he also knows when it's time be serious and lock the fuck in when the crowd is behind him.

He got a bad rep to an extent amongst the Western audience in NJPW partially due to his very inteference-heavy style of matches in the second half of his time there, but make no mistake, the guy can go, and moreso than a lot of other wrestlers, understands the importance of character work. Regardless, since Hiromu Takahashi is also likely making his way to NXT, if you haven't seen it, here's Hiromu screaming in indignation in the aftermath of EVIL betraying his faction, all while his fantastic theme in NJPW plays, something which I sincerely hope they don't mess up.

tl;dr great character worker, great English for a Japanese-born wrestler, top tier heel worker

The one match that isn't a main event is vs Ryusuke Taguchi, which is third to last. Remember too that some of the nights are double block events too, and Fujita is still in a high spot for all of those matches if not the main. He only really loses to Despy.

Main events:

vs Francesco Akira (May 14), Wato vs Titan rematch is unfortunately 3rd to last

vs Robbie X (May 20), weirdly maining over YOH vs SHO and Wato vs Akira

vs Wato (May 22)

vs Valiente Jr. (May 29)

Semi-mains:

vs Nick Wayne (May 16), main is Despy vs Ishimori

vs Jun Kasai (May 17), main is Despy vs Robbie

vs Titan (June 2), main is Despy vs YOH

And just for a bit of extra info, for the night he's facing Ryusuke Taguchi, it's being main evented by Jun Kasai vs Nick Wayne, semi-main of Titan vs Robbie X. Pretty weak night. It's clear Fujita is the "draw" of A Block, probably of the entire BOSJ, though he also probably almost definitely isn't going to main on the last block night of BOSJ against Daiki Nagai. This also means that literally every night is being headlined by Despy or Fujita except for one (the Kasai vs Wayne one), and even then Fujita has more mains than Despy. I really do like this show of faith in the new generation.
