Salpingectomia e contraccezione

Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I've lived all my life with my bio mother, when I was 6 y.o. she married a man which adopted me and I've always considered him my father.

I was told officially of the adoption only a couple years ago, when I was 27; I thought of reaching out to my bio parent, then COVID came and I kind of let the thought slide.

Now my bio father must be around 70, I know he has a family and works in a city not far from where I live; he and my mother have never been in contact again after he decided to step out, a little before I was born, but he knows I exist because of a casual meeting a long time ago.

Since he's so old I thought I want to know him before it's too late. I only know his name and place of work, I have no idea how to approach him. I'm a little scared he will not believe we're related, or he'll have like a stroke, or refuse to meet. I'd appreciate some suggestion on how to navigate this from someone with a similar experience.

Sad about a declining friendship

Sorry in advance if I'll write something that isn't proper English.
I (33F) became friends with a girl (28) from my group about a year ago, she had just left her boyfriend; we started going out really often, studying together, cooking together, movies, it was very intense. It wasn't a "peer relationship" from the start, she was depressed and confused, and has bipolar which, she says, affects a lot her behaviour; overall she seemed to need a friend, and i needed one also, since my closest friends all changed cities and i only had acquaintances now (and also my boyfriend). In the last months she finished her university exams and started working, so it obviously changed her availability; also i started studying way more and going out less on the weekend since it drains my mental energy. We went from seeing each other basically everyday to maybe every two weeks, and not on purpose, without talking at all in the meantime. Of course I tried making contact sometimes, and proposed some coffee dates, to which she initially agreed and later canceled because of other plans. I got really angry (I have my issues of feeling abandoned, I know) and confronted her saying I understood that she started working and was tired, but I didnt' understand how she could make time for anything but me, or actually understood that she made time for everything important and I felt I wasn't. She tried to say sorry, that she was also trying to respect my study isolation and didn't want to make me feel that way and would do better. It's been two more months, in which I again tried to set up something respecting her availabililty and she didn't follow up. I met her a week ago by chance (she had a prior plan and we ended up going in the same place). I'd gladly exchange some chatter, but she said to me and a common friend like 5 words before returning to her friends (I get it, I would try too to be respectful of the people I'm with officially).
I hit a big milestone this week, I told her, again I expected something and was left disappointed.
I just don't get it; she's all the time with a new boyfriend that she told me causes her so much stress; goes out with (not only) girls who she says she can't really talk to; I don't get why complain to me about all this and then doing it anyway? I compare this to a romantic relationship, I feel like she love bombed me (also started saying out friendly equivalent to "I love you" like 2 weeks in the friendship? Ok?), I fell for it completely, I needed to feel useful and wanted. And now my efforts to change this are for nothing.
What shall I think of this? Am I not useful anymore? May she be kind of a manipulator? Am I overreacting? I didn't know that friendships worked this way. I'm ok with anything, I just need to vent and hear perspective, I guess. I feel sad that I "loved" this person and it just blew up.
