Two ZOTAC RTX 4090s Failed Due to Artifacts and VRAM Issues

I’ve unfortunately lost two ZOTAC RTX 4090 graphics cards due to severe artifacting and what appeared to be VRAM-related issues, with no obvious reason for the failures.

Both cards eventually became unstable and unusable. I wasn’t doing anything unusual with them, and the issues appeared without any clear explanation.

I also tried contacting ZOTAC’s Middle East support, but unfortunately, I never received any response.

Asus pg35vq va better than oled

I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but after owning both, I actually prefer the ASUS PG35VQ over OLED.

I used an OLED monitor for a while, and eventually I got tired of its low full-screen brightness. HDR scenes looked great in some games, but in many bright scenes the image just felt too dim for my taste.

The PG35VQ, on the other hand, can reach around 1000 nits in HDR, which makes highlights much more impactful. Combined with its excellent VA panel and full-array local dimming, the contrast is outstanding. Is it true OLED-level black? No. But in real-world gaming, I don't think the difference is nearly as big as many people make it out to be.

For me, the higher brightness and stronger HDR experience are more important than perfect blacks. After switching back to the PG35VQ, I honestly don't miss OLED.

Does anyone else feel the same, or am I the only one?
