Nicholas Hoult has joined HBO’s Harry Potter series for its second season, taking on the role of Gilderoy Lockhart, the charismatic but fraudulently self-promoting Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Lockhart was previously portrayed by Kenneth Branagh in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Hoult’s casting adds another major name to the series as Season 2 adapts the second book in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.

# Harry Potter TV Series Casts Peeves!

The long-missing Hogwarts troublemaker is finally making his live-action debut. Peter Serafinowicz has reportedly been cast as Peeves the Poltergeist in HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series. Fans of the books will know Peeves as the chaotic spirit who constantly caused mischief around Hogwarts but was famously left out of the original films.

His inclusion is another sign that the series aims to adapt more of the books' details and characters that didn't make it into the movie adaptations.
