This is a bit of a story time, but there was a super hilarious backstory to this match:

The Iron Man guy from the pic in the comments started off playing Moon Knight, and but after 4 deaths whined into the mic that he wasn’t getting heals. Meanwhile, the rest of us have either 0 and 1 death (there was a Vanguard and a healer who hadn’t died once yet) and we’re already claiming 2nd point. I tried to tell him to stay closer or switch to a more frontline hero, but he just kept complaining about heals. Just as we are about to reach the top of the stairs for final point he‘s 1/8 and goes “screw this I’m throwing, I’m not getting heals, y’all are on your own.” And he switches to Widow.

Guess what? He finally gets his first two final hits of the match as Widow as the rest of us finish capping final point after an extended overtime. My team jokes that he’s doing a horrible job at throwing because he’s doing better as Widow than Moon Knight.

So next round starts, we‘re switched to defense. He‘s not doing much to help, but that doesn’t affect us at all. We hold them off from claiming first point for a long time. The overtime for their first point was nearly as long as our overtime for the last point. A good 1-2 full minutes. I died like 3 times and still made it back in time to stall even longer.

And the funniest part is ”throwing” clearly got boring to him since he wasn’t actually making us lose. So right before overtime for that first point ends, he switches to Iron Man, but shows up in the sky out of range to stall and they start pushing cart. But now as Iron Man he can shoot at people but still stay far enough to fly away whenever he gets hurt. He finally found the middle ground between not throwing and not complaining about no heals. But his lack of help had no effect on the game whatsoever. No matter who he switched to, the rest of us were pulling off a successful 5v6. Because they never made it to the second point.

And then not only do I end up getting MVP (which was already cool), but then I go to check for highlights to see if I want to save any, and I realized I lost any other highlights I didn’t check for earlier because 4 out of the 5 are now from that match alone. Most highlights I’ve ever gotten in a single game (especially COMP and not QP). I’ll really did the DPS job for the both of us. He was so irrelevant to the match that we made it all the way to third point and wouldn’t have even noticed he was going 1/8 if he didn’t draw attention to himself. No one was saying “Moon Knight switch, you‘re doing awful” because we were too busy winning. He threw himself under the bus and literally announced that he wasn’t helping and planned to throw. And we did so good, he completely failed to throw

p.s. the last clip isn’t a highlight, it’s just the very next thing that happens after the last highlight (4th clip). Peni thought she was safe from Me/Darkchild running back to spawn. But as soon as her team revived and she felt comfortable to leave spawn again, I heard her, hunted her down, and finished the kill. 😈 Gave her that Shocker treatment “YOU CAN’T ESCAPE ME! I’LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!”

This caught me so off guard. The game literally just started and I barely ever even got the chance to select Cyclops to try him out. I was not expecting my very first shot of the game to be an instant KO lmfao. And his little immediate bye-bye killed me because I only saw him for a split-second.

Me: "oh look a Je-"

Jeff: "bye-bye"

Everyone else in the game swapped around, I'm the only one who never changed. Almost didn't win because they nearly reached/beat our final distance, but we pulled it off. And then I unexpectedly ended up MVP. Even when I sometimes consider switching, that voiceline on revival convinces me to just dig my heels in deeper

I love getting great shots of synchronized dancing (shoutout to all my backup dancers, especially the default skin one who stuck around for them all). Out of all the Disco emotes we got and other dancing emotes out there, this one will always be my favorite. Just a shame going into photo mode stops the emote, got stuck with the UI in all my screenshots and its really hard to center the shot when someone else is in the middle

Didn't die the second round either, but would be too long (that's why I didn't bother with before the Quad either)

Enemy tried to use Peni to stop us when we were on attack (I was Magik first round), so my arrogant petty ass decided to show em how it's done when it was our turn. That being the last kill before the surrender cracked me up, like I truly made them afraid to walk outside

Silly fish man thought I'd just let that solo Ult on me slide

Had to charge Rocket with malpractice and then put Iron Fist back down. Shame on Rocket for violating the Do Not Resuscitate Order, he should leave these things to the professionals
