Is it 32 or 33 where you quietly stop wanting loud clubs and start wanting actual company?

A few days back I put up a small post here to connect with people above 35. A few of you reached out and I had some really good conversations. The kind of people you can actually talk to, properly from Bangalore.

Reddit DMs are a hard place to build real connections though. So we decided to build a proper community group instead. Nothing fancy. Just grown adults in Bangalore who want to gather, do social things, and build a bit of a life here beyond work and the same five places.

If you are mature, financially stable and not creepy, and this sounds like your kind of thing:

DM me "ACCESS" and comment below (helps beat the Reddit algorithm) and I will add you to the group.

Small heads up so I am not being sneaky: a couple of us are also building something for Bangalore around this exact idea, doing more in your own city. The group came first and stands on its own, but I would rather say it upfront.

Edit: Wow. Didnt expect so many responses. Lot people good people below 32 are also reaching out! Dont know what to do!

What can visibility get you? Impact, Opportunity, Money, Fame.

What stops you from trying to be visible?

It doesn’t mean being cringe on Instagram and or doing TikTok dance.

Looking for campus ambassadors from Bangalore colleges (18+)

We are 1001 Things To Do 🧧 · a Bangalore-first platform of 1,001 hand-picked things to actually do in this city. We go live on 15 August.

Full disclosure: I run it. This is a direct recruitment post, not a stealth ad.

We are looking for campus ambassadors from Bangalore colleges to help us launch on the ground.

Who this is for

  • Currently studying in a Bangalore college
  • 18 or older
  • Actually go out and know your part of the city · not a "I only leave for exams" person
  • Comfortable posting, sharing, and pulling your circle in

What you'll do

  • Spread the waitlist and launch on your campus and friend groups
  • Nominate places and experiences you rate · you help build the actual list
  • Run small activations on your campus around launch

What you get

  • Early OG access before public launch, with a founding badge
  • Direct line to the founding team · your ideas ship, not sit in a form
  • Ambassador-only perks and recognition at launch
  • A real thing to put on your CV, with proof of what you built

How to apply
Drop a comment or DM with:

  • Your college
  • Your area of the city
  • One place in Bangalore you would fight someone over

That last one matters more than the first two. 😆

Curious: Has anyone here been bar or date scammed?

Been hearing about this bar and date scam where girls work with pubs or cafes, bring dates in from dating apps, and pocket a commission on whatever the guy spends.

Is this real? Anyone here been through it and can share what happened?

A close friend got scammed over the weekend and I'm still in shock this is happening in Bangalore. CRAZY SHIT!

Women of Bangalore, how do you find people to actually do stuff with without it getting weird?

Okay I need help.

I have a whole list of things I want to do in this city. Skandagiri trek, that pottery place in Indiranagar, a proper old Bangalore food walk, just going for some random gig on a weekday. The plan is never the issue. Finding ONE person to come along is the issue.

My friends are all either too busy, married off into another planet, or permanently stuck on "haan yaar let's plan" that never actually happens.

So I try finding people online and every single time some guy slides in with full different intentions. Bro I just want to go throw some clay on a Sunday, why is this so hard.

So how do you all manage?
- Any women only WhatsApp or Telegram groups that actually work?
- Any app or community that filters out the creeps?
- Or do you just go alone and make peace with it?

Honestly this whole thing has been bugging me so much that a few of us have started building something around exactly this. Very early stage, nothing fancy, just trying to fix this one annoying problem. Would love to actually talk to people who feel the same, so let's get into it in the comments.

If you want to see what we are making, comment or DM me and I will share.

Tell me how you all do it because clearly I am doing it wrong.

Made a social space only for Bengaluru folks. Need honest feedback before we go live

Been working on an online social space built only for Bengaluru, an idea we putting together.

Not dropping the link here since I don’t want to spam the group or get banned. Just looking for a small set of people to try it early and tell me what works and what doesn’t.

If you want in, drop a comment or DM and I will send the invite. Happy to hear feedback even if you don’t want access.

At what point did you stop trying to prove yourself at work?

For me it was after I got the promotion I had been grinding for and realised the validation I wanted from my boss never came anyway. Somewhere along the way I stopped performing for approval and just started doing the work, and honestly that is when people started taking me more seriously.
