Dylan was right in his request to Alex

Dylan was absolutely right to ask Alex to give Kiley some space and to back off. From Dylan's perspective, he couldn't even go on one date with Kiley, just the two of them, because of Alex's insistence on always tagging along with them everywhere they went. Dylan tried to be sweet and friendly at first about the situation, but he also wanted some time with just his girlfriend. He also saw how rude Alex was to Kiley's friend, and I wonder if Kiley told him that Alex kissed her. I don't blame Dylan at all for asking Alex to give Kiley some space and back off.

Alex's cruelty to Cole

I cannot get over how unforgivably cruel Alex was toward Cole when he told Cole that if he disappeared and ended up all alone on the streets, no one would care or miss him. That is so cruel to say to your own brother. He was also being a hypocrite since he just kissed another guy's girlfriend, which was the same thing he had gotten mad at Cole He also had no idea why Cole broke up with Jackie- at least Danny realized that Cole was acting off and knew breaking up with Jackie didn't seem like Cole at this point.

Back to Alex, maybe his words to Cole will come back to haunt him and he will be the one all alone. I hope George and Katherine find out what he, Richard, and Elliot all said to Cole and really chew them all out. Alex needs to be held accountable for that and he needs to apologize.

How successful would Jere really be as a chef?

For me, it just came out of nowhere that he is suddenly the great chef, and some famous TikTok chef, no less. He has never gone to Culinary school, and the way he yells at Steven and Taylor when they are trying to help him-yikes. I am glad Taylor told him off when he was yelling at her about using a hand mixer instead of a ricer to make the mashed potatoes, especially when Steven is allowed Jere to crash at his apartment rent-free. They didn't even want a big Thanksgiving feast in the first place.

Am the only who doesn't like Garrett?

To preface this, I am a DV survivor so it could be why I find Garrett and his anger issues triggering. really want to him to go to therapy instead of putting all the labor on Hannah to regulate his emotions and defuse his anger.

I love Bonrad and I love season 3 episode 5 but always wonder what Belly was thinking when she asked Conrad if she could go with him and stop at a few wedding places.

I am talking about the scene where Belly goes to get the keys to the Rover, but Conrad already had them and was planning to go somewhere. When she asks if she can go with him and make some stops for her wedding planning, I always wonder what she is thinking about in that moment. Conrad was right when he politely said he would be back in a few minutes, and then she could have the car, but Belly actually got upset and said she would take a bike then.

Was Belly really upset about not getting to use the Rover at that moment to do the wedding shopping or was she subconsciously upset because she wouldn't get to spend time with Conrad? She had to know how awkward it might be for Conrad to be part of the planning for her wedding to his brother and the Rover was not her car.

Again. I love Belly but that moment always has me wondering what was going through her mind, lol.

I love how easily Conrad fits in with Belly's Paris friends

https://preview.redd.it/pix022ns7cch1.png?width=549&format=png&auto=webp&s=ffc16ec29f66953e8b7c40071624c98a87d026c4

He joins them at Belly's Birthday and it's just so seamless how he fits right in and is charming and sweet to Belly's friends and I like how he observes they call her Isabel so he calls her Isabel.

I also really like how Conrad wants to see Paris in Belly's eyes and how she sees it and so happy that she is thriving and knew that she would do great in Paris. I love the way he listens attentively to her and is happy just being with her and seeing her shine.

What scene always makes you smile or laugh?

I have several.

  1. At the end of season 1, when they are on the beach and are together as a couple, and they are just so giddy, and Conrad is teasing her about having a crush on him.
  2. Conrad and Belly playing volleyball in that tournament. They are instantly in sync and even make up their own handshake off the cuff.
  3. Christmas 1.00 and 2.00
  4. Conrad and Belly in Paris
  5. Conrad and Belly's phone conversations.

Garrett is not a good friend to Logan

For all the hate Logan gets about going to Phil for a charitable donation, when has Garrett ever been a good friend to Logan or even considered Logan's feelings?

  1. Garrett doesn't show any interest or understanding of how important that charity function was to Logan and all the children he was trying to help.

  2. Garrett does not recognize his own privilege (obviously, the abuse is bad) that comes wth his wealth and last name, and how much others struggle to be able to afford the basics, much less how hard Logan has to fight to earn a spot on a pro hockey team. Logan is working, doing all the repairs at the house, goes to school, and plays hockey.

  3. Garrett doesn't care or think about how his actions impact his teammates, especially those like Logan who have to work and fight so hard to get drafted, and now Garrett's actions have all their wins taken away. He is guaranteed a spot, but Logan sure isn't and now has to fight even harder to try to get drafted.

  4. A teammate expresses his concerns about Logan several times and says he is acting off, but Garrett just shrugs it off and goes back to talking about his love life. Like, seriously dude, maybe actually give a damn about why your best friend might be suddenly acting strangely.

I will never understand when people say that Jere is emotionally mature and selfless by the end of season 2.

I am sorry, but I will never understand this take.

Let me start by saying that Season 2 takes place over five days.

I see the take that Belly is pursuing Jeremiah hard, and Jere is trying hard to resist? Seriously? Jeremiah keeps inserting himself everywhere that Conrad and Belly go, even when he is not invited to come with them. He interrupts them when they are talking at the store and tells them to hurry up because he doesn't want them to work things out since he wants Belly for himself. He makes Belly guilty for always looking at Conrad in those yearly photos instead of him. He flirts with her and tells her that she doesn't have to hurt herself to get his attention (ew) and that if he kisses her, he won't be able to stop (double ew) and almost kisses her. Jere never tries to resist her or keep his distance from her.

Jeremiah is selfish and rude when he calls his brother shitty to their dying mom for forgetting a corsage because he is distracted by their mom being days to weeks from dying instead of showing his brother compassion.

Jeremiah hears Conrad's roommate telling him that Conrad has been very depressed over his breakup with Belly and looking at her photo all the time. He tells Belly that he is worried about Conrad because he has been so depressed about the breakup and their mom's death and is worried he could hurt himself, and he doesn't want to lose him, but then the first thing he does is yell at Conrad to pick up his phone when Jere deigns to call him.

Also, for someone who is so worried about his brother being depressed and that he could hurt himself, he then yells at Conrad at a party and calls him a coward, an asshole, and tells him he doesn't want to know him all because Conrad doesn't want to rent someone else's house. Nothing was stopping Jere from renting the house on his own. He makes assumptions about why Conrad and Belly broke up and even brings her into the fight.

Then, in the very last episode of the show, fully knowing how depressed Conrad has been over the breakup and hearing once again how deeply Conrad is in love with Belly, Jere still chooses to date Belly. Worst, this is only a month after the breakup and 6 weeks after their mom dies, and he does this to his brother. Even worse, he asks his brother to tell Belly he loves her, knowing that Belly will reject him (because Belly literally tells Jere multiple times that she will not change her mind about choosing no matter what Conrad says) and break Conrad's heart all over again just to make Jere feel better. Like seriously? How is that emotionally mature or selfless?

A mature and selfless person would never cross that line and choose to date their brother's ex, knowing how deeply their brother loves. Jeremiah crossed that line first during the most difficult and painful time of his and Conrad's lives.

What do you all think about John?

I do really like John, and his funny dad jokes remind me of my dad, but sometimes I feel like he is too permissive with the kids and just wants to be the fun easy parent while Laurel has do all the hard work.

He doesn't even scold Belly at all when she got drunk and knocked Susannah over on July 4th. He takes care of her, brings her pizza, and coddles her. Even when Belly is just hungover, John still doesn't scold her. Laurel was the one who apologized to Susannah for what Belly did and went to make sure she was okay. Conrad was the only one who got yelled at for Belly getting drunk and that seems beyond unfair. He didn't force her to drink.

The extreme hate and lack of empathy for Logan is so baffling to me

I have seen so much hate on here for Logan and very little empathy for trauma. In fact, I have seen comments saying that growing up with an alcoholic parent is nothing compared to having a physically abusive one, or at least Logan's mom is in rehab, while discounting that this is her 5th time in rehab. I don't think it is fair or compassionate to compare traumas. Having an alcoholic parent is very traumatic, and oftentimes an alcoholic parent can be abusive towards their children. Their children also become the parent and have to take care of the house and take care of the alcoholic parent after that alcoholic parent has just raged at them and vomited all over the place.

I have seen so much hate toward Logan for calling Phil himself for a donation to help a charity for underprivileged children to afford to play hockey (a cause very close to Logan's heart since that charity has helped him be able to afford to play) or asking Hunter to join the team, which helps the entire team. Logan lacks information in both cases, but he is making decisions that affect a lot of children or the whole hockey team, not just himself.

I also don't see anyone saying Dean was being selfish and not considering the team when he says no to Hunter joining the team without telling anyone why. I don't see anyone say that Garrett is not considering Logan's feelings about the charity and how much it means to him since I am sure Garrett knows that charity is how Logan was even able to afford to play hockey. No one calls Garret out not considering the impact on his team before he punched someone and got himself suspended, or how Garrett's own actions cost his team all those wins.
