Display live MPG without taking up the whole screen?

Is there a way to do this? In most vehicles I've driven since like 2012, in one form or another they have a way to see the live MPG. My '24 trax has it, but the only way I've been able to view it takes over the entire display (regardless of which display you choose to show it on). Is there a way to display it discretely in the instrument cluster somewhere rather than have it take over the whole thing? Being able to see it makes me drive way more consciously and stretch my mileage better. Thanks in advance

50+ yard ranges open to public?

Hey friends, are there any public ranges with 50+ yard lanes/pits within a couple hours drive from southeastern MA? I have a couple optics I'd like to zero and some ammo I'd like to test further than 25 yards that's the only option I have in my immediate vicinity. Thanks in advance!

MA resident bringing rifles to RI range?

Hey friends, wondering the legality of bringing an AR15 and AR9 from MA to RI for shooting at an indoor range. My understanding is that it's legal as long as all mags are 10 rounds and they're transported in locked cases with no ammo in the trunk of the car. Does that sound accurate? Thanks in advance!

Small QOL mods/upgrades?

Hey friends,

Taking home my new-to-me ‘24 trax Activ later today. I’m wondering what sort of little practical quality of life improving mods or upgrades yall are doing. Thanks in advance!

Performed a little gunsmif’ing

Last night I installed an overwatch precision minus connector and a 4lb striker spring. Great improvement to the trigger feel. Honestly, this is what the trigger should feel like from the factory but at the same time I get why they make it the way they do. Ran a hundred rounds or so through it at the range today to make sure it wasn’t light striking every other round. Small sample size but there were no issues. Excited for my next match

EPC9 upper on M4E1 lower?

Hey gang, question for the experts.

The context here is that I'm in a ban state so lowers are extremely expensive and hard to come by. I have a CMMG Guard 9mm that I love shooting and I also have an M4E1. I'm thinking of selling the Guard to help with a down payment on a car since I could pretty easily get $2000 for it here.

That said, I think I'd want to pick up an EPC9 upper so I can continue to shoot PCC. What is the compatibility like here? Would I just need a BCG and different buffer setup...and mags I guess? Anything else I need to run that setup? Thanks in advance

Gen 6 trigger upgrades

Hey friends, is there any sort of consensus yet on which aftermarket triggers are particularly good for the gen 6 guns? I have a gen 6 17 that I use for shooting matches so I'm looking for a racy upgrade. I've had my eyes on the JG Vex 6 but my main reservation about that is how the straight trigger shoe is well past 90 degrees when it breaks..at least that was the case on a JG trigger I used in a 43x. I really didn't like the feel of that, it felt like my finger was trying to slide down the shoe as I was pulling it. Anyway....any aftermarket gen 6 triggers stand out amongst the rest?

Edit: I should add, the main thing I'm looking for in a trigger upgrade is a cleaner/crisper break and a lighter overall pull.

Questions about interview tomorrow

Hey friends, I have a couple questions about an interview I have tomorrow for a dream position.

Firstly, are these appropriate questions to ask in the “are there any questions that you have for me/us?” portion that typically happens at the end??

“In a perfect world, when do you expect to have a candidate selected and when would you hope for them to be able to start?”

I’m in a flexible position right now where I could basically start immediately, but slightly more importantly I have an offer for a less “dream” position that’s kind of starting to press me on a decision. I’m not sure if I want to mention that in case the dream job interviewers take it the wrong way, but I’d like to get a picture of when I might expect to hear back from them.

Secondly, in a recent interview I had, I was asked “if we decide to select a different candidate, what are we missing by not selecting you?”
I feel like that’s a great question which I have a great answer prepared for. One thing I’m wondering though is whether it comes off too strongly to kinda punctuate the answer by saying “by not selecting me, I truly think you’re not getting the best candidate for the position.”
I’m not sure if that comes off as arrogance or confidence, but I do truly think I’m perfectly qualified for a position that is kind of niche.

Thanks gang!
