I tried the Spigen Core Armor in burgundy—it looks nice, but the grip didn’t feel quite right, and it didn’t seem super protective.

Next, I ordered the ESR Cyber Tough in burgundy. It looks really tough, but the shade is a bit odd, and people haven’t been fans of the color.

I just ordered the Spigen Tough Armor, arriving tomorrow. I used it on my 14 Plus and 14 Pro Max, and it was a great choice.

Now I’m checking out Caudabe, though I’ve heard mixed thoughts about the Synthesis with burgundy. If you have the burgundy model, what case did you choose, and would you recommend it?

I’m aiming for top-notch protection, tall edges, and durability.

I went to Best Buy today to have the battery replaced on my iPhone 14 Plus, and honestly, I was pretty upset with what happened.

They told me they wouldn’t take the phone for the battery replacement because there is supposedly an almost 90% chance that the front screen will break during the repair. They also said they don’t currently have a replacement screen available if that happens.
Instead, they sent me to an Apple Store 1hr away, explaining that Apple would be able to replace the screen if they damage it during the battery replacement.

Has anyone with an iPhone 14 or 14 Plus experienced something similar at Best Buy? Is the screen really that likely to break during a battery replacement, or was this just a Best Buy policy because they don’t have replacement screens available?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have actually had their 14/14 Plus battery replaced at Best Buy or Apple. How did the repair go? Did anything happen to the screen?

I was hoping to replace the battery and keep my 14 Plus for a few more years, so this was definitely frustrating to hear. I most likely going to trade the 14 plus to get a newer. 🤷‍♂️

I’m currently using an iPhone 14 Plus and my battery health is down to around 78%. Other than the battery, the phone still works great for me and I don’t really feel like I need a new phone.

I’m trying to decide between:

🔋 Replacing the battery with a genuine Apple battery and keeping the 14 Plus for another couple of years

📱 Upgrading to a newer iPhone, possibly the 18 Pro Max

For those of you who have an iPhone 14 or 14 Plus:
If you replaced your battery, how has the phone performed afterward? Does it actually feel like having a new phone again in terms of battery life and everyday use?

And for anyone who upgraded instead, do you feel the upgrade was worth it compared with simply replacing the battery?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who were in a similar situation—battery around 75–80%, phone otherwise working perfectly.

Trying to avoid upgrading just because it’s a few years old if a battery replacement can realistically give me another 2+ years. Thanks!

I’m planning a family trip to Gatlinburg/Great Smoky Mountains this year with my wife and two kids, and I’m trying to find the best time to experience both fall foliage 🍂 and the Christmas atmosphere 🎄.
I’m currently looking from December 5 to 12, but I’m not sure which dates would give us the best combination of fall colors and Christmas decorations/events.
For those familiar with the area:
What dates would you recommend for the best balance of fall colors and Christmas lights?
Would December 5 to 11 be too late for good fall foliage?
Are most of the Christmas lights and holiday events already going on by then?
Would you recommend staying in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or Sevierville with kids?
Are there any must-see places or activities you would recommend for a first-time family visit?
We’re coming from Florida, so we’re really looking forward to the mountains, cooler weather, fall colors, and hopefully some Christmas magic! 😄
