The ribs that Chef Memo sells off E Ocean Blvd on Sundays are the best I've ever had in Long Beach

He charges $30 a plate and I know those of you who don't know ball when it comes to BBQ are gonna say that's overpriced but it's a massive plate (enough for two people) and every side was incredible. Some of the best bbq beans I've ever had. He gives you the option to swap out sides if you wanna double up on anything. I'm not usually into green beans but decided to try them and they were so fucking delicious. He usually starts at 11:30 am but he started late in the day today cuz of the rain so he might be around for a few more hours.

I accidentally cut off the bottom of the menu, the last line is a rack of ribs for $50.

I was waiting to take a right turn at LB Blvd and 3rd because people were crossing (and the right turn light was red) and this impatient twat behind me decided to drive around and turn right

The right turn light changed to green as the crossing cleared so they ended up only saving like .5 seconds with this maneuver 🙄 This has happened to me several times

[SPOILERS] The latest episode of Apple TV’s LUCKY (starring Anya Taylor-Joy) featured Long Beach quite a bit

Mostly the area around The Pike/Harvey Milk Promenade and the beach (doubling for San Diego). Show is kinda mid but it’s fun to see familiar spots on TV.

I watched To Live and Die in LA and visited the house location they filmed that overlooks the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro. It’s now a little league baseball field

The bridge and San Pedro are featured quite a bit in the film. I highly recommend watching!

I watched the first two episodes of the new Apple TV show LUCKY (filmed in LB) and I wasn’t expecting it to be so explicitly referenced

I didn’t see any Long Beach locations in the first two episodes, but this got a big “Leo pointing at tv” reaction out of me
