Finally got the parts in and the time to try and make this work. Wish me luck. Fingers crossed I can get the mini Kabuto rolling with the legit 3 burst parts. I also have a spare full sized Kabuto housing. Debating cutting off the front right half to see if I can get that also going. I'll keep y'all posted when I have an update.

I have a nice 1983 Fender USA S3 Bullet with 3 single coils and a 1985 Squier Japan Boxer Strat. Both of these guitars were super clean when I found them, virtually no fret wear on either, minor bumps and bruises on the bodies and both came with nice hardshell cases. They both practically lived in those cases for the majority of their lives.
If I want single coil Strat tones they are there in the Bullet but other wise that's about as strat as that one gets. Everything else is far from it. 😁
The Squier might say Strat on it but it's also pretty much not a typical Strat either past the head stock 😁
I guess I'm just not really a Strat guy lol. I feel like I'm missing out. Should I go find a nice player 2 or similar with the traditional SSS or HSS loaded pickguard, 5 way blade and synchronized trem? 🤔
Let me know what y'all think. I may have a lead on a nice Mexican Pro, probably 2010 ish time frame I'm thinking of going to check out. If I can get it for the right price it might follow me home soon.
