Speed loader and flush base plate recommendations for Staccato C?

Looking for two things and hoping the collective wisdom here can help.

  • Speed loader: I have a Speed Beez and honestly don't love it. Anyone have a speed loader they actually like for the Staccato C mags? Open to anything as long as it's not the Speed Beez.
  • Base plates: The stock base plates on my 10/15 and 10/17 round mags stick out more than I'd like. Anyone running something lower profile or closer to flush? Not looking for extended, just the opposite. Want them to sit cleaner for better concealment.

Appreciate any recs.

Thanks,

J.

Should I convert my 2024 Staccato C to the compact grip for carry?

I currently have a 2024 Staccato C with the full-size grip. It shoots very well for me and is extremely comfortable.

I’ve considered adding a C4X as a carry gun, but unfortunately it just does not fit my hand. For whatever reason, I get unacceptable pain in the joint where my thumb meets my hand when shooting it. I’ve verified this with multiple C4Xs, so it does not seem to be an issue with one particular gun. It simply is not an option for me.

I usually carry a P365 XL Spectre Comp, but I would like to add a Staccato to my carry rotation.

I’m now debating whether to have Staccato convert my 2024 C from the full-size grip to the compact grip. The problem is that it becomes a fairly expensive experiment once I factor in the grip conversion and a new set of magazines.

I’m also in California, and because the compact-grip C is off roster, I do not know anyone who owns one and none of the local ranges have one available to rent. I would be making a significant investment without knowing whether I’ll like the compact grip or whether it will actually conceal well enough for me.

If the gun ultimately remains a non-CCW gun, I see no reason to give up the full-size grip that I already shoot comfortably.

For those who have handled or carried both, are the dimensions close enough that trying a C4X in a holster would give me a useful idea of how the 2024 C with the compact grip would conceal? I realize the C4X does not work for me while shooting, but could it still serve as a reasonable stand-in for judging grip length, printing, and overall concealability?

Would you make the conversion, leave the C as-is, or go in another direction?

Any advice or firsthand comparisons would be appreciated.

I alluded to some of this in a previous post, but I wanted to make this one a more direct question. I really appreciate the community’s feedback.

Entourage Tickets

Hi all — trying to figure out the most efficient way to manage tickets for my family of 4, especially since some of them forget their phones.

If I book all four tickets myself, is there a way to keep everyone's tickets on my phone and check us all in from there? Can I use screenshots of our A-List membership QR codes, or do I need the actual tickets each time? Trying to avoid hunting down everyone's phone at the door or having to forward tickets to individual Apple Wallets.

What's the best approach? Thanks!

Skill changes and projects don't sync between devices — am I missing something?

I just discovered that the project I spent half the week working on at the office isn't accessible at home, and a skill I edited during that session didn't update either — even though I explicitly said "save this change to the skill."

With so many people working hybrid, this feels like a significant shortcoming. Is this a known limitation, or am I missing something?

For context: my workflow is a Dropbox folder full of PDFs. I built a skill that has Claude access the folder, read all the documents, and then execute tasks — producing reports, drafting letters, renaming files, etc. At home, I can't even see the project, and my skill shows it was last updated over a week ago, meaning it doesn't include the changes I made this week. (I'm wondering if Claude interpreted "save this change to the skill" as "update it within this project only" rather than updating the actual saved skill file.)

Anyone found a workaround for this so I can work at home and at the office on the same thing?

Anyone have an HD P4 and a C 2024 with the Compact Grip? Or a C 2024 with both the Extended and Compact grips?

If so, would you mind taking a few comparison photos from all four sides?

I have an HD P4 and a C 2024 with the extended grip, and I’m considering swapping the C over to the compact grip. The problem is I can’t find anyone who has one so I can see the difference in size, width, etc. for myself — and surprisingly few pages online show the comparison. It’s too expensive to swap and then change my mind, so I’m hoping one of you can help me out.

Thanks!

Small Armorers Toolkit

Hey All,

My range has a cleaning room and I’m looking for a really small armorers toolkit to fit in my cleaning supplies bag. Punch tools, allen wrenches, micro screw driver. The stuff I’d need to do some cleaning and adjust parts but don’t need a full bench kit (unless there is a super small one).

The cleaning supply bag I use is about the size of a medicine bag. Most of the “small” toolkits I see are too big for what I need and take up too much room in my range backpack. Anyone have any recommendations for something like this? Link or PM me please. Thanks! J.
