Some really great shows this year. It will be my first time going. I'm planning on going to both Marathon Nights, COLLECTIVE RESONANCE @ Good Room and William Parker 75 Birthday Celebration @ Roulette.

How about everyone else? What shows are you looking forward to seeing?

I know the city well but haven't lived up there in years as I now live in New Orleans. I'm planning on attending the NYC Winter Jazzfest in January. I read everything on their website and IG page but I still have a few questions and I'll take any tips that anyone has.

When do they usually announce the Marathon Lineups and the individual shows?

Do they sell tix for individual non-Marathon shows and if so when do they usually go on sale?

If I buy a Two-Day Marathon VIP Pass or an All Events Pass is it common to get shut out of shows if they are full?

Do they cram people into the venues?

Thanks ahead of time for any info, tips or experiences.

Recorded live during 1988 world tour for a private audience.

• Eric Leeds was absent from this performance as he was tired and not feeling well after the day’s show and a photo-shoot Prince and the band did in the afternoon.
• 'Real' tickets for this show were not issued. Instead there were tickets for a Gregory Isaacs show (11 April 1988 Edenhal, Amsterdam), stamped on the back with the date. It’s entirely possible that other leftover, unused Mojo concert tickets from unrelated acts (stamped in a similar manner) were also used. Some patrons were also let in with a Lovesexy Tour backstage cloth sticker with 18 August stamped or written on.
• Prince started off the show on the white Auerswald model C guitar, wearing a black cape over a transparent top and sheer pants with bikini briefs from the Alphabet St. video. For Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) he switched to the 'Blue Angel' cloud guitar. There was a break following Housequake after which Prince returned in a lilac suit with Minneapolis on the sleeve and a plain white shirt that he wore open. Another encore break followed between Forever In My Life and Still Would Stand All Time. It is not clear what Prince wore at that point.
• Sheila E.’s drums were a black TAMA kit, provided by the venue and different from the regular black aftershow kit, likely due to the small dimensions of the stage. Boni Boyer only sang and did not have her keyboards set up, as there was also no room for them on stage.

This is how you deal with a situation like this. And take it from me who has watched him play for years down here in New Orleans, he ain't joking.

Me and my best bud who is flying down from up North just looking for things to do. Food, music, sightseeing etc... I've been there before but not in years. Not looking for fried food or poboys, there's enough of that here in New Orleans where I live. Definitely hitting Pamplona Tapas Bar, I love that place but looking for other food spots. I know crawfish season is over. Gotta have some Cajun though. What are the best choices? Prob hit New Iberia or Avery Island, maybe St Martinsville. I'll take any ideas that I can get. Thanks!

Tix went on sale this morning for those who did not already buy tix to Folsom, it looks like I snagged the last GA Pit ticket as I went right back in just to checkout prices of other seats and there were no more. $228.01, not too bad, I thought it would be more tbh. I save money by not having to get up to Boulder from Denver where I'm staying. Just saw him at Jazz Fest here in New Orleans a few weeks ago, great show, had to see him again on this tour. Lots of newer songs, only one acoustic song so a bit different but still Tyler and the boys. Can't wait!

I'm a 67 year old male who has had gallbladder issues for way over a decade. I don't really get attacks like I did years ago, my gb just feels like it's swollen all of the time, I could feel it in there 24/7. At times I just feel like crap and then it hurts even more than usual. I'm guessing that stones have gotten stuck in the ducts at times.

This morning I finally got it taken out. In at 530am, home by noon. No nausea or feeling sick whatsoever, just really hungry. I do have some pain from one incision but nothing I can't handle. I don't have any shoulder pain from the gas at all. They did say they really try to remove it all. Is it the drugs given to me during the surgery keeping the pain down? I actually have a cold and coughed and sneezed a couple of times and even that was no big deal. All I took was 2 Advil and some CBD. I stocked up on all kinds of things that I read about on this sub and some other sites: a wedge pillow, a heating pad, ice packs, an abdomen binder, all kinds of clear liquid diet items like sugar free jello(nasty), chicken and beef broths, apple juice, non-fruit popsicles etc... I'm wondering if I'll use any of them. I ate some turkey, chicken noodle soup and some fruit tonight with no issues at all. Nothing real fatty but not the clear diet I read that I should do. My surgeon said he did not believe in any special diet, he said it's all just trial and error. I was also surprised at how small the incisions are. I thought that they went in at your navel but instead about an inch from it. I asked for a liver biopsy just to get more info on my fatty liver so the one incision is up fairly high.

Anyway I have heard day 2 can be worse so I'm not counting my blessings just yet. They did give me some Oxycodone if things go sideways. I hope that I don't need it.
