Not really, but I will say, the most dangerous thing I encountered in Central Park this morning was the NYPD.

I don't know if they were mad because the light we were slowing for turned green, or what, but they decided to squeeze a group of riders into the pedestrian lane. We were ahead of them, and they never slowed, just merged right into the group of riders.

Even classier than the ones who used their loudspeaker to yell "try not to kill anyone today."

I must say, 40 years of cycling, and I still haven't killed anyone. So I did what they asked, today and every day.

Are there any rumors as to what it looks like, any photos? Or are they too boutique for people to spy out the new bike?

So a couple of weeks ago I had a stupid fall and have carbon damage on the seat stay of my 2024 Mach 4SL.

I have three options. Carbon repair. Replacement rear triangle. Replacement frame.

Carbon Repair - local guy recommended to repair and repaint the seat stay. $500ish plus the cost of paint, plus labor in getting the rear triangle off the bike.

Replacement triangle. Crash replacement price from Pivot through the dealer I bought the bike from, $850 plus labor

Replacement frame - $2950, but I get the newest version of the frame, in either color, plus the labor cost of moving all the components over.

Has anyone here ridden the previous gen and the current gen version of the frame and can weigh in? I can afford all three options, but really debating between the replacement options.

Just spent a week down in Brevard North Carolina. Brought two mountain bikes and my road bike. The day after climbing Mt. Mitchell on my road bike, I needed some easy riding, so I checked out the trails in DuPont from the Lake Imaging Parking area.

Hickory Mountain was way more fun than I was expecting, and there was the added comedy of my wife complaining that bears were intentionally shitting in the easiest part of the trail. Riding it for the first time on my XC bike (which sadly, due to a slip on the climb up, now has a cracked seatstay - didn't know it at the time). Apologies for the brake squeal. Hope brakes like to let you know they're working.

Anyway, you guys down there are lucky. Your trails are fantastic.

I'll be visiting next week, and bringing some bikes. While mostly going to be mountain biking near Brevard, I do want to climb Mt. Mitchell. I know the traditional route out of Marion is closed due to repair work, but when it comes to leaving from Asheville, do you think it's a better ride to take Elk Mountain Highway or starting from the Folk Art Center?

Secondly, what's the parking situation like at either start?

It'll be both me and my wife's biggest climb to date (though we've both done that amount of elevation gain in a ride). Seems like the overall profile from Folk Art is easier.

Don't fucking pass when there is an oncoming rider. You have a motor. Wait the fucking 5 seconds till it's clear rather than gun between the people without your stupid death wish.

Has anyone been auto-renewed for the 26-27 ski season without knowing it by Epic Pass?

I bought a 4 day pass this year, and I guess there was a small toggle button that was automatically clicked auto-renew, and I am being charged over $500 for a new pass, despite me contacting the company trying to cancel this.

Would love to get a group of victims together for an easy lawsuit.

So many other neighborhoods have their local group rides, but there seems to be little active for Woodside.

Are there others here who would be interested in getting a regular group ride going to do Central Park laps in the AM? Thinking a meetup at Tower Square on Northern Bvld, and then it's an almost straight shot to the park.
