Staccato CS

Staccato CS

Hey everyone, I wanted to get some opinions and see what everyone’s experience has been with the different grip sizes.

I originally picked up the CS with the subcompact 15 round grip specifically for CCW. I really like the smaller grip because it keeps the overall package compact and makes concealment easier, which was obviously the main purpose.

I ended up getting another CS because I really wanted the DLC finish and X-serrations, but this one came with the compact 17 round grip. After handling both, I’ve noticed that I actually prefer the comfort and feel of the longer grip. It gives me a better overall purchase and just feels more natural in my hand.

For some additional context, I also have a C with the 17 round compact grip, so I do already have experience with that grip size and know that I like how it feels and shoots. My debate is really more about whether I want that same grip length on a gun that I specifically intend to use primarily for CCW.

My plan is to swap the grips around so I can keep the DLC/X-serration configuration I wanted, but now I’m debating whether to stick with the 15 round subcompact grip or go with the 17 round compact grip for the final CCW setup.

For those who have carried both, how noticeable is the difference in everyday concealment? Are the extra two rounds and slightly longer grip worth it for the added comfort, or does that little bit of extra grip length make a noticeable difference when it comes to printing and concealment?

I know we’re only talking about two additional rounds and a relatively small difference in overall size, but with CCW, sometimes those small differences matter more than they seem on paper.

Lastly, only reason I am comparing the two is because I do have the C so it makes me think and want to choose the CS with the shorter grip since I ask myself why get a CS with a longer grip if I might as well use my C at that point since they would essentially be the same size.

I definitely prefer the subcompact for pure concealability, but I prefer the compact grip for comfort. If you had both options available, which would you choose for everyday CCW and why?

Appreciate any input, especially from anyone who has carried both setups regularly!

Model Y Premium

Hi everyone, I’m just looking to get some opinions and hear what you all think.
I put down a refundable deposit to reserve a vehicle, but now I need to decide if I should move forward with it or order a brand new one from Tesla.

The one I found is a 2026 Model Y Premium RWD in Quicksilver with the white interior and gray headliner. It’s listed at $44,000 out the door (cash) and has 6,300 miles on it. To me, that seems practically brand new.

This would also be my first EV, so I’m trying to make the smartest financial decision. My other option is to order a brand new one from Tesla, but after financing and everything, I’d be looking at roughly $55,000.

For those of you with more experience, does the used one sound like a solid deal, or would you spend the extra money and go brand new? I’m mainly looking for the best bang for my buck and long term value.

I really appreciate any feedback, advice, or things I should consider before making a decision. Thank you!

Staccatos HD Models

Hey everyone! I wanted to get some opinions from those of you who have more hands on experience with the HD lineup.

One of the main reasons I’m seriously considering picking one up is because I have the opportunity to acquire a limited edition HD model, and that’s definitely making it hard to pass up.

For a little background, my current Staccato collection consists of:

LAPD XC
LAPD C24
LAPD C2
CS24

I don’t have much hands on experience with the HD series, but the C4X and P4X have definitely caught my attention. If I had to choose one, it’d probably be between those two… although I wouldn’t be upset if I somehow ended up with both. 😂

Now, to be completely honest, I don’t need another Staccato… but I definitely want one haha

For those of you who own or have shot the HD models:

If you could only keep one, which would it be and why?

How do the C4X and P4X compare in recoil, balance, shootability, reliability, and overall feel?

Is there another HD model you’d recommend over those two?

If you already own multiple Staccatos, did adding an HD feel worthwhile, or did it overlap too much with what you already had?

I’d really appreciate hearing everyone’s real world experiences the good, the bad, and everything in between. Help me make (or maybe talk me out of 😂) my next purchase. Looking forward to hearing your recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Rifle light mount

Hi I’m looking to mount a Modlight on my rifle and came across these two different mounts. I wanted to know what is preferred. I know one makes the light move forward but what is the preferred method for its usage? It will be mounted on a HK 556 A4. Just seeking info and get more knowledge on these parts. TIA

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice and outside perspectives on my current dog situation.

About a month ago, I rescued two pups from a shelter a male and a female, both assumed to be German Shepherd mixes. The shelter told me they were both around 4 months old, but after taking them to the vet, I was told the male is closer to 4 months while the female might actually be around 6 months.

From the start, I’ve had a feeling they may not have been treated very well before I got them. They were especially skittish around me (male), but not nearly as much with my spouse (female). Over the past month, they’ve improved a bit and aren’t as timid as they were initially, but their confidence still seems inconsistent, some days are better than others.

One thing that surprises me is their temperament. Based on their breed mix, I expected them to be at least somewhat protective or alert, but honestly, they lack that instinct most of the time. They’re very chill almost too chill. They sleep or lay around most of the day, even though they have space where I’d expect them to be more active and playful like typical puppies.

Training has also been a mixed experience. I’ve been trying to teach them basic commands and small tricks, but it often feels like they have selective hearing. What’s confusing is that they seem to have some prior training, they’re already potty trained, generally well behaved, and not very “puppy like” in terms of energy or chaos.

I initially considered doing a board and train program, but was advised to give them time to adjust and build trust first. Now that it’s been about a month, I’m wondering:

•	Is it realistic to expect more progress from them, or am I expecting too much?

•	Could their behavior (low energy, timidness, selective listening) be tied to past experiences or trauma?

•	Would professional training be worth the investment at this stage?

•	Has anyone experienced something similar with rescue dogs, especially shepherd mixes?

I want to do right by them, but I’m not sure if I’m interpreting their behavior correctly or setting the wrong expectations. Any insight would be appreciated. Feel free to let me know any advice. TIA

I am not one to get more than one of the same platform but tbh it has been the best platform I have used. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for all support from the Staccato fans here! Peep my collection

Hey everyone, looking to get some thoughts and opinions from those with more experience.

I’m planning to start carrying again, likely a CS or C OWB setup, and I’ve been going back and forth on whether I should run a weapon light (specifically something like a TLR-7 HL-X series) or keep it slick.

For context, my last CCW was a Glock 43X MOS with a TLR-7 Sub. Thankfully, I never had to use it. I have been debating whether the mindset of “better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.” is efficient. Now that I’m setting things up again, I’m questioning if that’s still the right approach especially for OWB carry.

I plan on buying two OWB holsters, one for each of them. So I wondered if I should run one with a light and one without a light. If so, which one with what set up?

I’m trying to make the most practical and responsible decision here, not just what sounds good in theory. I want to be confident in my setup moving forward, both in terms of comfort and real world usability.

A few things I’ve been considering:

Does running a light meaningfully impact your day to day carry (comfort, concealment, holster options)?

How much value does a WML realistically add in civilian defensive scenarios?

Any drawbacks you’ve personally experienced running a light on your CCW?

Also open to any advice on OWB carry in general, holster setups, training considerations, or things you wish you knew before dialing in your carry system.

Appreciate any input just trying to build a setup that makes sense and that I can trust.
