Rode Seattle to Chicago, then Chicago to Sacramento.
Saw lots of awesome scenery, but everyone posts pics of that, so here are some buildings and other slices of Americana that I saw out the window of my roomette.

I live just above Taylor dock and am watching people looking for parking and carrying their various watercraft down to the water. The band is Blessing Bled Chimanga And Band.
Had an 8:00AM appointment to install a hitch receiver for a cargo carrier, got there just a few minutes early. Walked several blocks to get a coffee(industrial area, not a lot around), sat and drank the coffee, then walked back, got there about 8:40 and it was done! Really happy with the quick job.
Seemed like there were more bigger boats and people on the dock than in previous years.
Last week, I got a dollar dropped from the sky, last night a guy on stage threw me a hot dog, life just can't be any better.
Took these from Taylor dock, saw them yesterday also but didn't have my camera.
Around 35 local musicians performed in a three hour jam style concert, lots of great music, was different and fun, would be good to see this as a new yearly tradition.
The paraglider flying over downtown dropped what was probably a couple of hundred dollar bills over the Downtown Sounds crowd, most of it drifted toward downtown though. I'm sure it will become a B'ham legend. I didn't react quickly enough to get pics or video, but I will post some stuff tomorrow, the show itself was great with over 30 local musicians sharing the stage.
Figured they wouldn't mind me sharing.
I've seen lots of people playing down on Taylor dock, these guys were one of the best, they went into some great, tight grooves.
I live in an apartment and grew this on my deck. Bought some red leaf and mixed lettuce at Joe's Garden along with sweet onions and cherry tomatoes. Been plucking the outside leaves for about a month, finally had some tomatoes ripen. You don't need a yard to grow at least a little bit of your own food.
