On my way home after selling my business for $6 billion, I passed an elderly couple holding hands and smiling quietly at nothing in particular.
I've never felt so poor in my life.
As the cold steel pierced my back, I caught a glimpse of my attacker reflected in a shard of broken mirror.
The wound did not hurt nearly as much as the sight of my mother smiling back at me.
Do readers join the discord servers set up by the authors?
I'd like to know if the extra time investment is worth it to create a discord server. I see a lot of authors give a discord link in their patreons. How does this help the author as opposed to just having a patreon?
Antony Starr deserves an Emmy!
Despite the lackluster ending of the show, there's one thing I just can't help but appreciate like crazy, and it's Antony Starr's performance.
Specifically this scene where he's begging for his life. I kid you not when I tell you this, coming from someone who lives every waking moment of his life drowning in watching films and series, Antony Starr's portrayal of Homelander is one of the best portrayals of a villain ever put to screen and this final scene of his is simply icing on the cake.
Indeed the conflict part of the story for this payoff could've been a million times better and makes you feel like Starr's acting wasn't used to its complete potential, but the payoff itself of just this one scene is enough for you to give him a standing ovation.
I fully believe that this performance right here has truly cemented him as one of the greats and I look forward to watching more of his works.
