Tl;Dr - don't waste time with Another Life. It's two dozen sci-fi tropes in a trenchcoat with atrocious writing and stilted dialogue.

Her birthday is today, and I've finally said "is been too long since I've heard her voice, and she's not going to be around forever."
We spoke for an hour, but not about the incident that led to our falling out. I made the call, which was a big step. She took time for me, which is a huge step. I'm not ready to see her again yet, and we're not burying the hatchet yet, but I'm going through so much in my life right now and getting to speak to her made a big difference in my day.
IDK what the point of this post is, except to say that I'm happy I talked to her and I hope we can mend our relationship one day.
