I’m pretty sure these are two different maple seedlings in my shrubs. Looking for ID so I can replant elsewhere if they’re native.

New England. We let white snakeroot live in our front yard when we were getting rid of our lawn and converting to a native garden, but it’s taken over and I want more than snakeroot in my front yard! I pulled some and it snaps off near the ground. Any advice or knowledge is much appreciated!

Our condo was the model unit, so the builders put in this little desk in the kitchen. It’s clearly not useful to us in this capacity, so I want to make this into a small pantry. We aren’t handy and we don’t want to spend a ton, but we also don’t want to just drill in an ugly shelf and throw up a curtain to hide it all. What should we do?

Boston, MA, USA. I focus on planting natives, so I’m hoping it’s one I planted. Full/part sun, crappy clay-ish soil that gets saturated in the rain and gets bone dry in summer.

The upcoming free-agent class is a little short on headline names, but there are plenty of quality players eligible to hit the open market on July 1. And many of them are bound to land eye-popping contracts in a rising-cap environment.
