How do you strengthen your legs ?
So I've played football in everyday during high school back in the day, never learned the basics, just played for fun then I stopped completely. Then after years I slowly got back to it, training and actually doing the basics to play football the way it's supposed to be played.
I've been playing for quite sometime, and I have been focusing on ball control but I notice when I play games, I have a hard time running faster, it's like I definitely can do better but it's just weak during a sprint. I can run fast then I can't keep it up for longer. Even during change of direction I'm quite slow.
I have tried training with cones for the change of direction but everytime i do it, my shin hurts and I can't do it to get consistent. I believe my legs are too weak for the intensity or I'm not doing it properly.
What's the best training to strengthen my legs and get better at it ?
