My new two-tone Roman dial SNKL57

I love a two-tone 'old-man' look watch lol. It's timeless and versatile. I stumbled upon this Seiko5 and picked it up for a Roman Seik-just Mod. The dial is less sunburst than other Seiko 5s, giving it a more sheer and clean look, sometimes more pearly white than silver.

The gold fluted bezel and sapphire were from Monster Watches EU. I had a lot of fun modding a silver SNXS with parts from them, and am very happy how this came out too. I'll have to say, I prefer the more thin bezel that fits on the SNXS, as this gold one feels a tad chunky for the 37mm case. The jubilee bracelet is a decent AliEx one. It is actually 19mm wide, which I MacGyver'd to fit some 18mm end links. Seiko 5s are fun and quirky to mess around with. I now have a cool neo-vintage piece in the collection on a budget

On all weekend for the holiday

Perfect choice for anything this hot weekend including the pool. Really love this vintage inspired San Martin. The dial is this deep navy blue that appears with sunlight

[Northport 40] The perfect summer watch

First summer with this bad boy. Man I love this piece. The Seafoam green is so eye catching and just makes you think of the ocean. I just wish Islander would release an on the fly clasp!

SNK / SNKL mod - has anyone ever swapped the bezel & crystal?

Looking to mod this SNKL57 with a fluted bezel from Monster watches. I did this with an SNXS and love it, and now I want a two-tone.

I've heard the SNK (7s26-01V0) bezel can be removed with a knife or opener, which then also releases the crystal. I'm wondering if this is 'easier' than just removing the movement and pressing the crystal and bezel out of the case? Wondering what additional tools I'll need.

What's on your wrist today?

The SN0050. This is an older San Martin release and not one that I see posted about much. I love the symmetry of the Roman numerals at the cardinal indices. The blue is a bit bright, but I wanted a pop of color in the collection. This piece seems like more of an original design. The dial is very similar to the Chopard alpine eagle but that's the only influence I could connect.

[Bulova] Islander really killed it with their Super Seville bracelet

The peaceful green dial gets a lot of time on the wrist. I love a lot of things about my modern Super Seville, except for the OEM bracelet. It's decent overall for its price range, but the beautiful case just looks better on a jubilee, IMO. I enjoyed the butterfly clasp and was able to get a comfortable fit. But it's hard to beat on-the-fly, especially with a short clasp. Long Island Watches really elevated this watch for me and matched the case well

Just received the Pioneer/Ranger Blue Dial (WD1960S V2)

Bought this one a whim without seeing really any of this dial reviewed anywhere or posted here (at least of the V2 version). The blue isn't quite what I expected. When it hits the light at an optimal angle, it is a very pleasy sunray tone. This is the K1 version which I thought was a good deal vs sapphire.

I've been wanting a decent blue dial 'GADA' style. But I'm not sure if I'll hold on to this one. I really like the brown/gilt dial version, or possibly the Explorer dial.

What do you think of this one?

[Traska] Commuter 38. Perfectly boring, wearable and elegant.

Just received the 38mm commuter yesterday from the recent restock. I'm absolutely loving it so far. Yes, it's been called boring, sterile, plain. But for what it is, it's incredibly well designed and built.

The clean white enamel dial, subtle indices, brushed hands and sleek font leads to a very pleasant viewing experience. It checks a lot of boxes for me, especially the attainable price point. The finishing on the bracelet exceeded my expectations, and the radial brushing on the bezel really stands out.

Is it basic vanilla? Maybe. I added this to my collection after cycling through a lot of more unique pieces with flash and pattern and texture. It feels refreshing on the wrist. This one is definitely going to steal a lot of wrist time. After all, it is epitomized as a GADA. Although there are only 2 things you need for a watch to be a GADA- step one: go anywhere, step two: do anything.
