365 Days on Reta

When I started, I honestly didn't know if it would work. I just knew I was exhausted from losing and gaining the same weight over and over.

The weight loss has been awesome, but the biggest difference has been getting my life back. Food isn't constantly on my mind anymore. I don't avoid pictures, I don't dread shopping, and I actually enjoy being active again.

It's definitely not all sunshine. I've had stalls, frustrating weeks, and body dysmorphia is still very real. Some days I still see the old me in the mirror.

But if I could go back and tell myself one thing, it'd be this: trust the process.

SW: 220 CW: 165.3

5x a week of crossfit & 15K steps a day. Cleanish diet - i try to avoid gluten and processed food.

1st photo is from right before I started in July 2025. I didn’t take many pictures back then because I honestly didn’t like seeing myself in photos. I avoided swimsuits, avoided being in the background of pictures, and usually just tried to stay out of frame when I could.

2nd photo is from vacation this summer, about a year later.

The physical change is obviously there, but what’s harder to explain is the mental shift. I don’t immediately fix my clothes or turn away from cameras anymore. I actually went into the pool instead of just sitting on the side watching everyone else.

I still have body dysmorphia and definitely don’t see myself the same way others do, but comparing these two makes it a little more real.

It’s been a slow year, but overall I feel healthier, more comfortable, and a lot more present in my life than I was before starting. I had tried for 3 years to lose weight through 15K steps a day & 5x a week crossfit.

1mg 2x a week.

July 2025 to July 2026 - after 3 years of struggling to lose weight.

The only picture I have when I started Reta in July of 2025 is from a video. I avoided cameras & pictures like the plague, rarely went swimming because I didn’t want to put on a swim suit in front of other people & avoided mirrors. Almost a year later I feel more confident then I have in years. I still struggle with body dysmorphia but that’s for another day.

31 F - 5’9 - 1 mg 2x a week. I’ve tried to increase my dosage but would become violently fatigued and nauseous the next day that I’ve been too scared to try again.

I walk around 15K a day & CrossFit 5x a week. I have done crossfit since 2016, got pregnant in 2021, gained A LOT of WEIGHT & struggled even after doing everything i was pre-pregnancy. I had A TON of blood work done after not losing any weight over a 3 year span and everything was good which was great! but also confusing on why i couldnt lose any of it anymore. In a desperate act, I found reta on TIKTOK. At the time, research wasnt available really, so i was kind of flying blind but i was so damn desperate i took the leap. After the first month, i geninuely thought i was scammed but figured i had already paid for it i should finish it and im so glad i kept with it. I had tried Mounjaro post partum, but then insurance wouldnt cover it. My doctor prescribed me ZEPBOUND TWICE, but every time i went to pick it up it was insanely expensive i just ended up leaving empty handed.

My diet is fairly clean, but not strict & I don’t limit myself to meals that I want.
