Buy now or wait until Steam frame?

Just curious about people’s thoughts on timing. I’m looking at getting a Quest 3, and I’m caught between “get it now and start enjoying it” and “maybe there will be a sale for Prime day or something” (not that Meta often lets that happen).

The big one is the Steam Frame. I’m not sure if the Frame’s release is more likely to trigger an “oh, we have competition, we should drop our price to grab customers from them” reaction, or a “lol, look how expensive our competition is!! We should raise prices”.

Curious on the thoughts of people a bit more tapped into the scene.

Trying to find a visually simple symbol/representation related to Death, for a drawing.

Hi everyone. I'm really hoping someone can make some suggestions here, because I'm running quite thin on ideas.

Long story short, I'm trying to assemble a drawing, possibly to be used on a pendant, for a story, and I'm trying to include elements of Rebirth, Bonds/Connections, Storms and Death in it.

Two Koru winding into a Pikorua works well for the first two, and the stars of the Matariki above for storms, but I'm having a really hard time working out what to do for Death, since there isn't really a visual symbol (as far as I'm aware) with strong associations to Hine-nui-te-pō like there is for Tāwhirimātea (and I need something visually monochrome, so I can't rely on colour).

The best I've been able to come up with so far is a stylised Pōhutukawa tree, but it feels like a bit of a reach.

Can anyone make any better suggestions for me?

Really weird Exchange issue - Auto-replies are set, but not triggering, unless I re-save them

I'm hoping someone else has seen this before, because it's got me and my colleagues stumped.

For reasons, I'm needing to bulk-set Out Of Office replies on several hundred mailboxes.

All of these mailboxes are un-licensed, mostly Shared mailboxes, though there's a couple of User ones in there too.

I've setup a basic powershell script to set up a default auto-reply (just feeding a CSV file of email addresses into a 'Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguation' prompt), which I've been testing in small batches of ~5 email addresses, to make sure everything is working.

Here's the weird bit.

If I run this script, then go into Exchange admin center->Select the mailbox->Others->Manage auomatic replies, it's all set correctly, no issues.

But some accounts auto-reply, while others don't.

If I check using message trace, the mailboxes all show as receiving test emails, but only some of them send auto-replies. It's not just 'Exchange not wanting to send a lot of auto-replies to the same address', since even if the test emails come an hour apart, from different email addresses, and even from a mix of exchange and gmail accounts, no auto-replies are generated.

And the kicker? If I got into Manage Automatic Replies in EAC, add/remove a full stop or something, and hit Save, then they start working! Same thing if I run the Powershell script against that address again, it suddenly works. So it's not like there's some hidden forwarding or strange rule or something that's preventing it, literally just re-saving the rule makes it start working.

Has anyone run into this before, or have any idea how to fix it? So far it's happening to 20%-40% of the mailboxes (one or two per five address test batch), and I have ~800 addresses to set, and I don't really want to do a "Run the script half a dozen times and hope it sticks to everything" option.

Question 3 questions from someone with an OG Rift

So, I bought an Occulus Rift aaages ago, and loved it. It’s largely still working (apart from one ear speaker), but after some adjustments to our living room and the PITA of setting up and dragging out the device, it wasn’t been used in a couple of years.

I’m considering grabbing a Quest 3 (if I can get one on sale, they’re nearly $1000 here in Oz), honestly, mostly for games like BeatSaber and Gorn, but I had a few questions:

  1. I can literally just wander off to whenever room in the house has the most apace at the time, and fire up the headset, yeah? I don’t have to have the sensors and everything around the room?

  2. Does the ‘guardian’ system, to warn you about running into walls etc, even work if you don’t have sensors?

  3. Can I still connect the device up to my PC to use it for games that need extra processing power/extra HDD space, like OG Asgard’s Wrath? If so, does that have to be via cable, or can it be wireless?

  4. Is there anything else I should know/be asking? Like I said, I loved my old Rift, but I know things have changed a lot since then (I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get access to my old account & purchases again, since I haven’t used the account since I was forced to create a Meta account and link it to my Occulus account).

Can you develop Estrogen resistance??

Comment I wrote on another post that I’m thinking maybe I should post and ask for input on.

When I first started HRT (MtF) close to 12 years ago I had some quite rapid changes. I was still identifying as genderfluid at the time, and trialing HRT to see how it affected me/see if I got the kind of changes I wanted at the time.

One 2mg tablet/day was pushing my T down to ‘between male and female ranges’ and putting my E in the low end of female range, and I developed breast buds almost immediately.

Unfortunately this kind of freaked me out and I stopped taking it for a while, I just wasn’t ready for everything. I even trialed a low dose again a while later, just to try and keep things a bit elevated.
I finally started proper transition a few years later, once I just couldn’t put up with fear-induced half measures any more.

And now, seven years later…. My breasts haven’t grown any further, I’ve got nothing on my hips or butt, and zero curves.
Facially it’s done pretty well for me, but I’ve got nothing else.

Early on my E levels were pretty good, up around 700 pmol/L (tablets monotherapy), once spiking to 900 when I lost weight, but I needed to slowly increase the dosages of HRT, and then add a T-blocker, but my levels declined anyway, dwindling down to the 350-400 pmol/L range.

I tried gel but August/September 2024 but that dropped my levels to barely over 100, so I went back to tablets.

I hovered in the 350-370 range from there, then had bottom surgery in August 2025. It made basically no difference to my levels.

I had two 100mg implants inserted in December 2025, hoping a different delivery method would help. Six weeks later my levels were at 340 pmol/L.

I wanted higher, obviously, but we waited another month because my GP wanted to see if my results remained steady, or fluctuated.

March 2026 and I was at 250pmol/L

April I had another pair of implants inserted, and I’m not quite two weeks away from my next levels check-in appointment, and I have no idea what I’ll do if my levels don’t massively improve (injections aren’t really a thing over here unless you DIY) :(

For background, I’d had my T levels tested a couple of times (just incidentally, for things like sleep/energy issues) and they were normal.

Puberty didn’t hit me overly hard. I never developed an Adams Apple, though I did get a sizeable rib cage. I was a bit of a late bloomer, and quite short compared to my peers until late high school. I eventually topped out at 5’8, but didn’t stop growing until I was 20.

I’ve always taken really strongly after my mum, facial features wise, and often got read as female when I was 19/20/21 kind of age (hell, there’s a photo of me at.. 19/20, and when I randomly found it a while ago, I went ‘I know the girl on the left, who is the other one?’, then ten minutes went ‘wait, the one on the right is me!’).

So… yeah… is randomly developing resistance to HRT in your.. late 30s… like, a thing?? Has anyone heard something like this before??

Is there a proper ‘compare to current’ option for Predicted Skipped Records in Upgrade Preview?

We’re getting ready for our first entirely in-house ServiceNow upgrade, and I’m having issues with checking the skipped records preview.

In Upgrade Preview, I’ve done the preview scan and got the details populated, including the “Predicted skipped records” section.

If I click on any of the options that give me a list of those records (ie, selecting “Total” under “Predicted skipped records with rules”, or clicking a Priority on the circle chart), it gives me a filter with the Predicted Skipped records, their priority, etc. If I click on one of the entries I get the screen where I can mark if I want to Revert/Retain, fill out the comments on the record etc. But for the life of me I cannot find anywhere where it’ll compare the current and upgraded records side-by-side so that I can see what the actual changes are? There doesn’t seem to be a “Show related record” option anywhere.

Am I being utterly blind and going to the wrong place, or is this functionality missing from the Upgrade Preview?
