Upgrade strategy premium eco to biz

Hey folks! I booked a MUC-MIA roundtrip in Premium Eco Green and am hoping to upgrade to Business. It's an Allegris flight with currently 14 free seats in Business on the outbound leg and 26 on the return.

Today, LH is offering 1.380€ for a cash upgrade or 45k miles on waitlist per segment, which both seem high. A few months ago on a different flight, it was 350€ in cash or 20k miles. I know that there can be random dips between now and departure, but how likely would you say is it that the price will drop? Is it worth checking daily?

Also once I place the waitlisted miles upgrade, how would I even realize that the mile price goes down? Would you recommend canceling and re-placing the upgrade a few times to check the pricing?

Airport AI summary hallucinated

The LLM writing Flighty’s airport summaries apparently got bored of reporting “moderate easterly winds” in ORY and decided to refactor a Python codebase instead 😅

How exactly does Tidal label AI-generated content?

As many others here, I love Tidal's stance on AI-generated music and also the option to hide it for good. Out of curiosity, I left it on because I wanted to see how they label it. None of what I found is labeled in any way, though. Has it not rolled out yet or does it require uploaders to tag their content themselves, shifting from detection to trust?

Just in case I'm wrong and just haven't found the "real" AI content yet – here's an example: https://tidal.com/track/533902886/u

Besides the album art that looks kinda AI, I noticed that some lyrics are mispronounced or differ from the original song. In the section with different languages for example, the French "allez" is pronounced "uh-lez" instead of "uh-le" (00:25). A bit later (00:50), "away" sounds like "awow". "Detect.Music" gives it an AI probability score of 94%.

If I just wrongly accused a non-AI artist to generate their stuff with AI – I'm truly sorry!

What's M-Net's pricing like after the first 24 months?

The famous M-Net people were at my door and I'm actually glad – they made me realize we have fiber (FTTB/G.fast) in our house and I can get 1000 Mbit/s instead of my current 100 via DSL. I had no idea.

They have a new customer offer at effectively 41,15€/mo for the first 2 years (no hardware). Regular price after that time is 59,90 which is almost at Telekom level.

From your experience, what plans does M-Net offer after the 2 years run out? I know there are older threads about this but I was wondering if anyone ran into this recently and got a good price.

Thank you! 🙏🏼

Dark live preview when shooting log (R6 III)

I totally love the video features and quality of the R6 Mark III, but there's one thing that confuses me:

When recording in Log (CP3 profile) and having View Assist on, the display's live feed in Video Mode looks much darker than I'm used to from Photo Mode. I can see that exposure is fine from the exposure indicator and waveform, but it just doesn't look right on the display.

My assumption is that the Log profile tries to put everything as low as possible to save space for highlights, and then just slaps a correction LUT on top. This is all fine, it just makes me question my settings all the time.

Have folks here experienced that too, and is there any solution?
Other than learning to just trust the waveform, I guess 😅
