A good place to work from near the station
I have to take a work call tomorrow then jump straight on a train to London.
What are the best places to sit and work and take my call?
Super happy with a cafe with decent WiFi:-)

I can't even really recall how this came up in conversation but when a friend showed me this picture of a yogurt that I used to have pretty much every day as a packed lunch at school, I was dumbfounded.
It just brought back so many memories of being a kid in the 80s and early 90s and what we'd have in our packed lunch and picnics, lots of happy times. I'm sure they don't make this anymore. I'm sure they probably won't make it anymore. I don't wanna know how many additives are in this and E numbers are in this but it just really made me think of really fun happy times as a kid growing up.
Are there any foods or toys that you've recently thought about that bring you back to your time as a kid? Not necessarily in the 80s or 90s but just as a kid? Share them with us here. It'd be fun to hear them.
This also made me think about Gino Gianelli's ice cream and also the fact that I do buy a Viennetta maybe once a year to eat by myself to remind myself of times as a kid
I LOVE Decathlon.
Is there another place like it in Stockport?
I take my son there every couple of months and we can easily spend 2hrs there playing in all the different areas and like how things can change from season to season.
I spoke to other local dads and found out that they did exactly the same 🤣
Do other people do it?
The staff there are fab and the only thing that they seem to object to is people using the basketball hoops.
It seems randomly difficult to find a book a squash court! I’ve been trying to find places near me in Stockport.
I have been inspired by an episode of “Bluey” and wrangled a few interested friends I used to play with
Any ideas why? Google search suggests places that don’t have squash courts. I keep ringing them up and no one seems to know!
I’m looking for places where we can go as a non member and just play every now and again.
The courts I used to go to regularly have been knocked down or turned into things like kids soft plays or gyms and yoga studios.
I haven’t played for nearly a decade- I must be part of the problem. I’m sensing that fewer people play!
EDIT: ✍️ I love the lovely people here trying to help me find a squash court! I’m sure I’ll find something but I wanted to know if that was your experiences too. Has squash simply fallen out of favour?
