Rare Rarity Luccia Character Guides (Snowdeer, Silverwolf, Wildfox, Brutebear)

Introduction

Here are 4 compact infographics on the Rare Luccia units, and a deeper look into their kits. I did not pull the two Epic Luccia units so I won't make guides for them unless there's interest.

  • Green is recommended. Magenta is alternative option (no castalia recommendations).
  • Ascensions are NOT recommended (not green highlighted), but a recommended Level is included if you go that far.
  • No astral recommendations.
  • No skill loadout is included because these characters only learn 3 skills (+1 innate skill), and 1 reaction.

Snowdeer Priestess

Character Abstract

Snowdeer Priestess is a Luccia Leader Aura carrier. Her playstyle revolves around spending NRG casting AoE spells & buffing allies in order to activate her Snowdeer form. Within her Form she gains access to power spells which have high NRG costs. She can inflict powerful SPD/MV reduction debuffs, give allies unique buffs, and deal notable AoE damage.

Infographic Explanation

  • R1 (Ice Shaping) is her bread & butter Form charging utility skill. It refunds it's NRG use if cast on a Frosty Tile (important). As well as it can generate Frosty Tiles.
  • L3 (Icy Blast) having knock-back, MV/SPD reduction, and AoE damage in a skill is an easy pickup. R3 (Potential Burst) is outdated.
  • L5 (Hardening) is better because DMG Reduction II can apply everywhere. R5 (Protection of Ice) is conditional, but has a higher "first hit" reduction; it's a "fun" pickup.
  • R7 (Wind Rider) may rarely be useful. If you plan to get Anna or Ivan you don't need her Leader Aura (L7). But if you need a leader aura you can pick it instead.
  • Her build revolves around her AoE damage dealing.
    • Standard mage weapons.
    • Any M.ATK or M.DMG works. Evergreen Pendant does trigger on the heal from Fortune Tarot.
    • Fortune Tarot is almost required to feed her NRG needs. Cup+Wand can also mimic this, but it's less comfortable. To maximize her damage Magician can be used.
    • Sword + Wand is standard for ATK/DEF. Cup + Wand can be used to refund NRG spent, and reset cooldowns. She doesn't need the cooldown reset in her regular rotation.
  • Her ascension is good for her damage, and can be levelled if you go that far.

Character Kit Notes

  • The only low rarity to have a Luccia Leader Aura.
  • Has access to Wardpiercer (Ignores Primal Ward on enemies) & inflicts Frostbite (DoT) when enemies have a movement reduction (which she applies, and includes debuffs such as from Edda's Liquor).
    • Note: Fortune Tarot piercing AoE also inflicts the above Frostbite.
  • Provides Ice Glide to allies when casting skills on them: letting them ignore Frosty Tiles slow (up to 2 tiles), and allies can slide after using standby.
  • She can enter Snowdeer Form on the first round of combat by using Ice Shaping + Icy Blast starting at 2* (or Ice Lance if she's 4*). This skill combination will be off cooldown when she enters Human Form again.
    • Snowdeer Priestess can Act instantly upon gaining Snowdeer Form, and has access to 2 more skills:
    • Flash Freezing: Single Target, inflicts MV III down, and conditionally Frozen.
    • Ice Age: Large AoE, inflicts SPD/MV I down.
  • She gains NRG from casting Ice Shaping on Frosty Tilesentering Snowdeer Form, and ending turns in Snowdeer Form. She still needs Fortune Tarot to feed her rotation without an external NRG providing support like Taair.
  • Ice Shaping skill that most low rarity Luccia units have is strong for generating tile items, and generating Frosty Tiles.

Silverwolf Hunter

Character Abstract

Silverwolf Hunter is a low rarity, ranged version of Agata. She can be played as a supportive DPS that applies Wound stacks. Or played as a Single Target, Basic Attack carry similar to Nungal. Included in the infographic is her general supportive build.

Infographic Explanation

  • L1 (Covering Shot) can apply Wound two times. R1 (Ice Shaping) is always good.
  • Her Crit Aura (R3) does not apply to herself. Her Crit Aura provides a large team damage boost. L3 (Tundra Raider) is more mobility & personal damage.
  • L5 (Strength Activation) is better for the DMG buff.
  • R7 (Scatter) applies Wound in an AoE. But if you plan to make her a Single Target build, you would pick L7 (Eagle Eye).
  • Build is focused on her crit, and debuff potential as a Wound applier.
    • Longbow of Martyrs applies a unique 10% damage taken debuff even at 1*. The other two options are for her crit
    • Any offensive trinket is good on her.
    • Her Tarots are either offensive, or Judgement to apply a unique 10% damage taken debuff.
    • Sword + Wand is standard for ATK/DEF.
  • Her Ascension isn't too impressive, but getting the 5% ATK as a stopping point is alright if you go that far.

Character Kit Notes

  • She gains 20% Crit Rate when on Frosty Tiles
  • After dealing damage she applies 1 Wound stack up to 4 stacks.
    • Same as Agata, up to ~57.35% piercing damage taken due to multiplicative calculation of 12% x 4 stacks.
  • L1 (Covering Shot) applies Wound on each Assisting Attack
  • R7 (Scatter) applies Wound to every enemy hit by the AoE
  • Has near permanent uptime on Silverwolf Form as long as she is within 4 tiles of a Wounded target (gaining the Act Instantly every 2 turns when it drops).
    • She applies Vulnerable II & gains Wardpiercer on Wounded enemies.
  • Armguard does NOT apply a wound stack.

Wildfox Pikeman

Character Abstract

Wildfox Pikeman is an Infection (DoT) applier, and also performs Assisting Attacks. Her playstyle is applying as many Infection stacks as possible, entering Wildfox Form, and then detonating the Infection stacks.

Infographic Explanation

  • R1 (Luxite Shrapnel) is ever so slightly better as it applies 3 Infection stacks, but has a 3T cooldown. Both are great.
  • Both skills are similar, but L3 (Insight) is less conditional, and has a somewhat useful additional effect.
  • R5 (Counterattack) is low impact, and can only be activated 1 time per round. L5 (Hardening) is the better choice.
  • Both options are good, but L7 (Infected Dagger) being able to apply 3 Infection stacks is the obvious choice.
  • Her build is a straight forward debuffer/dot applier build.
    • Her best P.ATK spears. Or Nameless Staff extra movement may be useful.
    • Armguard is her best trinket as it applies Infection. Otherwise standard P.ATK or debuff trinkets.
    • Judgement for general use or any offensive P.ATK tarot works for her.
    • Sword + Wand is standard for ATK/DEF.
  • Her ascension is not that great on her.

Character Kit Notes

  • She performs Assisting Attacks up to 2 times every round (when on Frosty Tiles).
  • Applies Infection stacks after dealing damage (including assisting attack, including armguard).
  • After dealing damage 4-5 times (including assisting attack, including armguard) transforms into Wildfox Form (Act Instantly).
    • Triggers all Infection stacks if there are 6 or more.
    • Gains Wardpiercer (Ignores Primal Ward on enemies).
  • Armguard DOES apply infection stacks.

Brutebear Shieldguard

Character Abstract

Brutebear Shieldguard is a tank, shield breaker, and has some Strike Back in his kit. He's a heavily discounted version of SP Alexei. Brutebear transfers lost HP into P.ATK, and has Resolve (survive being defeated in battle). When he enters Brutebear Form he gains access to more Resolve, strong buffs/utility such as Shield Break IV, Toughness (ignores negative effects of injured/dying), and knock-back/stun.

Infographic Explanation

  • L1 (Defensive Stance) is a no cooldown, instant skill to generate physical shields every turn. R1 (Guard) can only be activated 1 time per round.
  • L3 (Counterattack Storm) is necessary to gain access to Strike Back. If you never want to use his Strike Back, you can pick R3 (Ice Shaping) for utility.
  • L5 (Spiky Shield) unfortunately provides an extremely low damage Strike Back. R5 (Vitalization - Extra) provides more HP & helps offset his 60% reduction of healing received in Brutebear form.
  • Both Rk7 skills are great. But R7 (Bloodline Awakening) is required unless you want him to do nothing most of the combat while waiting for his Trait Resolve to trigger. It also extends his form which is great. L7 (Sharpened Blade) is a nice final damage boost though.
  • His build focuses on tanking hits, dismantling shielded enemies, and occasionally striking back.
    • You can swap his trinket/tarot recommendations with any defensive ones (e.g. unique coat or temperance tarot).
    • Brutal Axe is for tankiness, Tuning Hammer/Antimagic Axe are for utility.
    • Trinkets are standard tank trinkets. He still benefits from Thorny Ring even with Toughness.
    • Standard tank tarots, and Devil for P.ATK/DEF boost.
    • Sword + Wand is standard for ATK/DEF, but Pentacle + Pentacle can be used to be slightly tankier with more HP.
  • His Ascension is the usual 10% HP boost for 20 material cost. Easy pickup if you go that far.

Character Kit Notes

  • The way his Trait "HP to P.ATK" conversion works is every 1% HP lost, you get the equivalent trait conversion % of his P.ATK stat increased. More HP does not provide more P.ATK. It's a fixed increase scaling off of his P.ATK stat.
    • More HP is good to have for tanking big hits. But the more HP he has, the less P.ATK gained when hit.
    • Example: If Brutebear is hit for 3000 damage with 10k max HP, he will gain 30% P.ATK. If he is hit for 3000 damage with 5k max HP, he will gain 60% P.ATK.
    • A trinket such as Resonant Crystal will provide a 40% P.ATK boost when used.
  • Upon triggering Resolve or casting his R7 skill, he enters Brutebear Form once per battle (Acts Instantly).
    • Large P.ATK/DEF buff.
    • Reduces Healing Received by 60%
    • Gains 2 additional Resolve (recovers 5% hp upon trigger)
    • Brutebear & his Class Skills gain: ToughnessImmunity to DisruptShield Break IVWardpiercerknock-back 1 tile on attack (stun on collision).
  • When he exits Brutebear Form he gains a permanent Exhaustion debuff which restricts him from entering it again this battle.

Reminder to do the new Satisfaction Survey & check your mailbox for a 2nd Anniversary Gift!

The Two Years Together: A New Chapter gift has the following goodies:

>!A heartfelt message. Two-Year Anniversary Cake Furniture with special effect. 300 Luxite. 1 Castalia. Random Legendary Trinket.!<

The Satisfaction Survey also gives 150 Luxite via mail after completing. It's a fairly short survey, without the same small side-text bug as the last one (at least for me on mobile).

In the last text field make sure to mention what improvements you think the game could have (e.g. I listed swap to VPN bug, and timing end game rotation with major character releases like Shahnaz), as well as what you're grateful about (e.g. ascensions, anni rewards, Luccia character designs...).

Anyone finding Saber + Gil is really clunky?

I have fairly good gear on an E0S1 Saber, E0S1 Gil, E1 Tribbie, E1 Huohuo team. I could try RMC but the amp loss will be large.

I'm getting barely 2 ults per cycle. The duo just do not go enough to trigger the 8 required attacks fast enough, but even then sometimes it doesn't even charge Saber up fully.

Gil is absolutely a massive improvement on this team, but I'm sort of surprised at how clunky it feels on release. There seems to be a lot of down time, and the two of them can only go so many times per cycle.

0 cycling is sort of out of the question in any end game mode right now with this investment. Minimum 1-3.

Prydwen 4.3 Apocalyptic Shadow (Starward Mode) Analytics Update (Mortenax Blade Patch)

Visit https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/apocalyptic-shadow to see full data including all E0 clears, E2 clears, character usage rate, usage over time, and per team breakdown!

Update notes from LvlUrArti on disco:

  • The Elation carries are the ones to take the top spots, with Ashveil following closely.
  • I already expected Acheron to score well, but I didn't expect Feixiao to jump this high in the ranking. Tbf, she has a much lower appearance rate at E0 (0.38%) than Acheron (2.92%), so her data is less reliable.
  • Seele also makes a comeback, with a respectable average score of 3397.
  • Some of the 3.X characters that didn't perform that well are Phainon, Saber, and The Herta. The Herta in particular has an average score of only 2964.

>I assume this is based off of Starward mode since it shows 3 Nodes under Team Usage, but I don't know if it mentions anywhere specifically if it uses either.

Stage 7 Alternative Team Showcase (no Acambe, no Shams) 19700~ points & General Tips - Tower of Adversity S4

>As of today, this score gets in the top 100, and comfortably in the top 10%. For any last minute gamers that wanted some inspiration.

>If you want the best scores possible you probably have already followed Hawky/Super Miu Miu/Shaos guides. The event ends in 2 days as of this post.

Video Showcases

Youtube Video: Stage 7 Upper Zone - 3 rounds: 5* SP Sam, 5* Yennefer, 3-5* Triss, any* Marcille, any* Flavia, any* Safiyyah

Youtube Video: Stage 7 Lower Zone - 3 rounds: 5* SP Inanna, 5* Lukamar, 5* Credenza, any* Inanna, any* SP Safiyyah, any* Lutfi

Description has timestamps, requirements, and mini guides. I'll also include the tips down below.

Upper Zone Tips

Example Stacks per Round (you need 10 "allies" stacks to fire cannon):

  • Round 1: 6 allies, 1 Flavia Plant, 1 Dummy, 1 Archer, 1 Yenn Illusion
  • Round 2: 6 allies, 1 Flavia Plant, 1 Dummy, 1 Yenn Illusion, 1 Safiyyah summon
  • Round 3: 6 allies, 1 Flavia Plant, 1 Dummy, 2 Yenn Illusions

>The reason I used Archer in the first round is because the Archer AI RNG is way too frustrating to use in later rounds. It's much more manageable to restart in the first round.

You can replace safiyyah with innana or lutfi's bodyguards.

Stage Tips & Information:

  • 10 red squares stacks will trigger 1 cannon attack at the end of the round. Red square stacks do not overflow after the cannon fires. So if you had 9 the previous round, and get 9 this round, the next round you'll be back to 0 instead of 8.
  • You must damage armored maitha every turn to do full 1.3m cannon damage instead of the 900k. This is to reset to the stage mechanic "Combo Strike" which requires you to alternate damage types. As well as after round 2 it stops her from nuking the your team.
  • You need to cleanse debuffs on your DPS for them to do full damage. Maitha gives lots of debuffs at the end of every round.
  • You must damage trash mobs to damage share onto maitha or 3 rounds is not possible with just the cannon. If you lack DPS, you can just play the red squares.
  • You can place allies 2 squares away from a red square for the axe-men to knock them back into. Assassins in the bottom right area sometimes are too far away to get to your units. Archer can be used to tank assassin swaps.
  • Archer AI movement is frustrating. You have to do trial and error to figure out how to get him on the red square after his attack for your team. However for maitha bomb throw you can use the backtrack button to reposition your illusions not to hit where she throws it (she doesn't change throw spot)
  • Stage mechanic allows units to move 3 tiles at the end of their turn after actively attacking (e.g. Yenns teleport does not trigger this even if you damage enemies)

Lower Zone Tips

Stage Tips & Information:

  • The goal of this stage is to do 3 things to defeat the boss: 1. Single Target DPS on him, 2. Cooldown Reduction for the Stage Skill (Strike of Liberation - Shattered Shackles), 3. Knockback boss into water every so often
  • Lukamar is a possible primary DPS because she naturally interacts with the stage mechanics, has high ST DPS, CDRs the stage skill, and has good mobility to get to the ground items
  • The stage skill adds permanent increased DMG% (Shattered Shackles) onto the boss, so the more you use it the more damage he takes (up to 30 stacks, from 6 uses)
  • There are 2 ground items (Convallaria Cake), one that spawns at the start, and one that spawns at a boss HP threshold. They refresh the stage skill, and let you act again
  • Boss Knockback immunity after he falls into water resets when he acts next. He takes 5% HP from knock into water.
  • You can use elaman unit abilities to put him on Dust Tiles to add more Shattered Shackles stacks
  • AoE attacks will trigger boss/enemy abilities that will damage your team, avoid using them
  • Credenza is basically required for speed clears to reduce the stage skill cooldown (since it's a skill), although other units may work, such as cocoa
  • The Boss has a cap of 30% DMG taken from debuffs, such as from vulnerability III (lutfi/lukamar), or judgement tarot
  • Armbands are nice on supports to add on small bits of ST damage.
  • Use Lukamars "Blood and Wind" ability when she doesn't have stacks to power up her "Chapter of the Final Dance". I've tested all her skill combinations, and those two were the highest DPS potential I saw.

E1 Evanescia Performance w/her alternative team (3 end game modes)

TL;DR:

  • MoC: 0 cycle (w/sustain)
  • PF: 40k (w/sustain)
  • AS: 3768 (could probably get 3800)

Information:

  • For anyone that has both elation teams or no-Yao, and wants to see how Evanescia performs with just EMC, and a harmony... here you go!
    • E1 makes a fairly big difference, but it's not required if you just want to clear
    • E2 sparkle is busted, but you can also run E1 tribbie or another support
  • Gear on her is not maxed, and she's on SPD boots (could go ATK boots because of sparkle)
    • EMC and Huo are on fairly low invest builds, Sparkle is at 185spd + DDD
  • E1 on Huo, and E3 on sparkle are unimportant eidolons so you can ignore them
    • Only Eva has a limited LC
  • Yes, this is in a good elation shill environment. Assuming nothing changes in her team in 6 months from now, this team will not perform like this. But we can assume that we'll get another elation support and sustain in the future, one of which will be for Eva most likely (or allow Yao to go onto her team full time)

I'm very impressed with her performance, and high value early eidolon. If you are on the fence about using her with only scraps, she works surprisingly well without her premium team!

Managed to barely avoid CS Streamer from clipping me for Twitter

If Jojo's team was trying we would have got stomped obviously. They threw the last 2 rounds to keep their ranks low so we got a win at least. Thankfully my other teammate was the clip for the day, and not me.

u/korinokiri — 3 months ago

They kicked Austin after having what I thought was a relatively successful run (for where they were at). He was also IGLing while top fragging.

He made some videos on it, and it sounded like they wanted him to not play IGL (Austin admitted his IGLing wasn't where it needed to be compared to other teams) but he didn't want to play another position so they kicked him.

But more notably they just tweeted that they benched their entire CS Roster.

Anyone know what's going on with this NA org? I'm confused what the strategy is, and what the expectations were.

EDIT: Apologies for title written on mobile
