How much do you pay for middle of the road housing?

I'm moving to LA and looking to find a safe area. Middle of the road place, maybe 700-800sqft.

All the places I can find are $3800+. I see some 600sqft apartments for around $3300.

Are these high/low/normal?

Those who moved out of state and moved back, are you happy you did?

For reference, I grew up in SD but moved after COVID.

I still go back to visit to see friends and love it, but it's not the same California I grew up in

I have a great quality of life having moved to the East Coast, but still have the nostalgic feelings to move back and have a job offer in LA. Pay is about the same, but the cost of living is a heck of a lot more so that's a loss.

Is it worth it to be back in California? Had it gotten better since COVID?

My friend who suffers from anxiety and depression went on the most perfect date with the sweetest guy, but can't bring herself to return his calls or texts after their first date.

But she completely ghosted him and won't text him or call him back. He asked her out on a second date but she hasn't replied and it's been almost 2 weeks.

Should I try to help her out and push things along and encourage her? I'm not sure why she hasn't texted him back but I'm guessing she's too scared to.

People who don't respond to messages for days at a time, what is your reason?

To preface, I'm not asking "what is your reason" in an accusatory way. Genuinely, what is your reason?

For myself, sometimes I go through phases of anxiety or depression and don't have the mental energy to reply for a while.

But there are people I know who don't seem to have these issues and are out and about in life as normal, but not so busy they don't have time, and apologize for being bad at replying days later.

Bad experience at Genki.

I went to Genki for the first time yesterday and was really let down after all the hype I've heard about it.

I just got a few basic rolls and soup. The soup came out cold. The rolls weren't cut all the way through and fell apart trying to rip them apart. The fish was flavorless, which usually indicates it wasn't fresh. Did I just get a bad day? It was pretty busy and Saturday night which should be prime time to go.

I'm scheduled to play a golf tournament this upcoming Monday at CFCC.

It's supposed to rain. Does anyone know how litigious they are with weather postponing?
