The salary must be a typo or a scam, right?

I can't access the apply now landing page without paying, but this can't be real, right? Most people I know earn bellow CHF 100k.

Island Hopping beach bars and clubs

Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for beach bars and clubs we can visit. The i tinerary has not been decided yet, so I'll take any recommendation you have.

Something like Laganini, but less chaotic? It can also be something smaller, more private, and we'll gladly make reservations if needed, so that's great too. It doesn't have to be insta worthy or hyped, we don't care about that.

Island Hopping preporuke

Hvala!

Does anyone use L'Angelica salicylic acid body wash? Do you find it effective against body acne?

I asked the brand what percentage of salicylic acid does it contain, but they refused to disclose it. Proprietary formulation bla bla bla.

Cross-contamination nightmare?

Hello, I had a bad experience today with my regular dentist and would love to hear from other practicioners.

The dentist is alone this week and I'm extremly worried about their abiloty to keep everything clean and safe.

When I was waiting for my appointment, the doors were opened and the dentist was working on a patient. A person entered the waiting area, went in, ans the dentist came to the desk. Gloved up, and all the other PPE still on, disscusing something with the person that entered, typing away onthe computer, and taking papers from them. When they were done, they went back to work on the patients, not sure if they changed their gloves. I overheard them talking about antibiotics.

I was next, it tool them about 2 minutes to call me in after the other patient left, which doesn't seem like enough time for a full turnover... I came in, they gloved up, looked at my chipped tooth and than decided now is a great time to go look up the xray on the computer. Came back, didn't change their glover, went right back to touching equipment and disscusing treatment with me.

This is cross contamination, right? They are not following basic protocols, right?

Looking for an European alternative that contains oat, ceramides, ectoin and panthenol

I don't care if it's 50 ml or 500ml. I really love this product, but with new duties and wait time of 6-8 weeks, I'd love to find something that will be more easily available.

It's a light cream that's very soothing and moisturizing, but I'm willing to try anything that has the ingredient combination mentioned - oat, ceramides, ectoin and panthenol.

Hvala!

Context: User asked about thebranddoesn'tmatter's 1L sunscreen on here. A teen, they wanted to use the suncreen on their face (said they apply twice daily, so at least one reapplication) AND on their body. Second part of the comment is true, it's a risk to buy big bottles. I'll always be team physical barrier first, e.g. upf clothing, hats, sunglasses, parasols, etc. It's the first part that I have a big problem with.

The fact that this comment is upvoted is bonkers. Let's run through it, shall we?

If you use 2.5 ml for the face, neck and ears and you apply it once per day, 1000 ml should last you 400 days. If you reapply at least once, it will last you 200 days.

When you add body into the mix, the math changes quickly. It is recommended you apply 30ml for the body. 1000/30=33. 33 DAYS if you apply only once.

Let's say half of the body is covered and you don't use sunscreen, so you need half that amount. 1000/15=66. 66 days. Once again, without reapplication.

So when I see someone say "oh that sunscreen left no whitecast on me", "it's very elegant", "isn't greasy", "I don't look like Oompa Loompa with that tint", and similar stuff, I think about how elegant I can make vaseline look if I use a tiny amount. Just about any sunscreen can look good if you barely use it (and than complaining you got a tan when you don't even use it as instructed). There was this Italian sunscreen that was like clay, Normon Uv-Cure Gel, I bought it years ago because it has UVA 73. I could make that look great if I used a pea size. When applied properly I was ready for my horror movie debute.

I have used Ceramol cream and base cream, I don't like them. Are there any other European products that contain 3:1:1 ratio? Thank you.

I know we don't discuss AB skincare or makeup here, but I was hoping we might for a moment because there's so much damn confussion about the new duties. If we can untangle it, everyone can have enough time to either find replacements or stock up.

First we have flat rate customs duty of €3 on items contained in small parcels valued at less than €150 sent directly to consumers in the EU. As of 1 July 2026, the duty will be levied on each different category of item, identified by their tariff sub-headings, contained in a parcel.

In theory, skincare and make up are in the same category, cosmetics. In the next paragraph, they give this example:

Example:

A parcel contains 1 blouse made of silk and 2 blouses made of wool.

Therefore, due to their different tariff sub-headings, the parcel contains two distinct items and €6 in customs duty should be paid.

If we were to follow that logic, inorganic and organic sunscreens are distinct items, hell even each sunscreen is a distinct item since they have different INCIs?!? 😭

Additionally, we have Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg who are introducting extra duties, 2€ per parcel. They may come into effect in July, but it's also possible it's pushed till November.
