Inspiration for science communication to laymen?

I know that there is a publication out there called Quanta that is science based and does amazing work. Does anyone know of any others? Could be the social media account of a science museum, magazines etc. Thanks!

References for Job Application

Guys, help me out here. I have 2 people that I can include as a reference. One is a creative director that I worked with for many years, but he is kind of a big shot and can be quite unavailable. Another is a client that I worked with closely on a very intensive shoot/filming, who is more available, as in responsive.

Should I proceed with the latter?I don't want to run the risk of the HR calling the first person and he doesn't pick up etc.

Thanks!

Wanted to share an experience I saw on IG about a solo female traveler that almost got trafficked in Paris

My post got taken down, I shared the IG link previously. It is this Australian solo female traveler who is a seasoned traveler and she shared a harrowing account of how she was placed on the black market, was followed in the subway and almost got trafficked.

Obviously I can’t share the link cos my last post was deleted but I urge everyone to look for that post on IG and listen to the whole thing. It left me quite shaken

[Request] munchie snacks for keto(pescatarian) with no oven, just air fryer and stove

When I get home from work I’m usually too tired for a full meal. I usually have blueberries and yogurt but I’d like something to snack on that’s crunchy. I’m thinking airfried(?) beans but would love to have some suggestions!

Can anyone suggest any super old school neighbourhoods to visit?

I just went to Sims Avenue area and what a gem that area was, with the hawker center and many old people still manning their stalls. The only other one I’ve been is Tanglin Halt. Can anyone suggest any?

[Help] I have a 128gb Extreme Pro 95mb/s card that I can't use on my GH4 but it can be used on a Canon 5D. Tried formatting using the GH4 but it keeps saying Memory card full. Can anyone advise?

I have been using that card for many years prior to this. Tried formatting the card many times but it kept saying Memory Card error. Then when I formatted and used the card on another cam ie Canon, I was able to record on that card but when I switched back to GH4 I still couldn't.

Can anyone advise?

I have been practicing gestures drawing for a few years now. How can I achieve lines like Richard Powell's? (see reference)

I draw from my shoulder but I have trouble achieving the different line weights like he does. Are there certain drills I should do? Thanks

Real estate agents and security guards, can you share any paranormal encounters when you are at work?

I came across one about a security guard and a swimming pool just now and I’m sure there are more stories out there, feel free to share!

Thinking of flying from Singapore to Istanbul next May, has anyone experience flight cancellation due to force majeure recently?

I'm planning to get the cheapest eco fly ticket which allows for no refund too, so I am extra worried about cancellations. Thanks

Does anyone have experience with animating characters on top of live footage?

I have an upcoming project that requires me to animate the company mascot, and one of the scene include animating the mascot passing something to a live action figure. I have never combined animation with live action before.

Since the character is more of an anime-style, I plan to animate it in Moho, and do the compositing in After Effects. Frame by frame will be too painful. Does anyone have experience with such projects and what the workflow will be like? Thanks

P.S: I know Tip Tut on Youtube does it via Adobe Animate and After Effects, but I'm trying to use rigged animation rather than frame by frame that's why.

Needs to change portfolio website because of Webflow’s increase in charges. Can anyone recommend?

I switched to webflow last year after doing a lot of research but the increase isn’t sustainable for me. I use it to showcase my illustrations and animation work, but also interactive design pieces made in rive. This sucks because it took me a while to get those Rive animations to work in the website. Should I go for Framer instead? Any recommendations are welcomed, thanks
