Can't switch from my legacy transitions data plan to the current free data plan

I was paying $10/mo on my 55+ plan to get more hotspot and 5Gb fast internet internationally.

With the transition, all that and more is included. When they transitioned me, they put me on a plan that gives me 20Gb more hotspot (80gb vs 60gb) at $10 more a month. Obviously a waste of money. But when I try to select the

Data w/ 60GB Hotspot option and hit save I get the message about getting wired crossed. Doesn't work on the Web. Doesn't work on the app. I've been trying for weeks.

I don't want to pick the Data w/60GB Hotspot option (which others have said is an older option, and doesn't expliclty talk about Mexico/Canada or specify unlimited PREMIUM data).

Anyone dealt with this?

And the in-app coupon deals keep getting crappier

This week, it's buy a chicken, get a coupon good ON YOUR NEXT VISIT for a single burger with a $10 purchase. Or buy a burger, get a coupon good ON YOUR NEXT VISIT for a single chicken sandwich with a $10 purchase.

The coupons that used to be free to use in the app now require a purchase just to get the coupon.

Well, if it works for them...

Best food options that don't leave you feeling fleeced?

The problem with captive audience food is that no matter whether it's good or bad, it's usually obscenely overpriced.

Are there any "Not quite obscene, just a mild rip-off" priced food options that are also good at NFF?

T-Mobile home internet at intro "lifetime price lock" of $25/mo. Is that price actually locked?

With all the price increases on lines that were initially sold as price locked (fine print: "Unless we pay off your last month and tell you you can leave") I'm wondering if the initial come on offer of price locked $25/mo T-Mobile home internet is price locked in the same (not really a lock) way, or whether that was a legit locked offer?

I know a few phone plans were actually price locked due to certain language, but most weren't.

If you wonder why it seems crappy hotels have great reviews on TripAdvisor

Got this email from TripAdvisor.

I stayed at the Row NYC a number of years. It was a shit show. I left a level-headed review.

Now they removed it because they did a "renovation." A renovation wouldn't resolve some of the problems I encountered, but hey...

If you wonder why some properties suck but are highly rated, maybe now you know.

TripAdvisor isn't the only platform that does this, of course.

Are they pulling back on coupons?

I'll admit that Shake Shack got me in the habit of Shacking with all the couponing in the app that they've been doing this year. A reasonable deal with all those free burger with purchase coupons.

But for the past few weeks, the only coupon in the app has been the Sunday free chicken sandwich with $10 purchase.

Are they cutting back. Or is the dry spell before the next deluge?

Bagels n Brew (Winchester, MA)

Six bagels. $4.99.

Bagels are meh. Can't say I'm impressed.

Server was nice, though.

Can't figure out how this is rated 4.7...4.8 for quantity.
