Rockering for big ole feets
Having always had big feet and apparently small frames on my skates, I never understood why people felt like they needed extra turn radius by rockering.
I just upgraded my size 13 K2 Midtowns from base frames (247mm, 80mm wheels) to the K2 R100 (311mm, 100mm max wheel size, currently added 90mm wheels). Holy shit what a wild, wild difference. It feels like I can no longer carve without really putting effort into lifting toes/heels, and even then....just wow.
Anyway, for you rockered people that still want stability (and now that my wheels actually go past my toe and heel for the first time in 25 years) - do any of you do a rockered first wheel and flat next 3? Gimme your recs on stable feeling rocker setups. I definitely feel a lot safer moving to rockered after feeling just how VASTLY different it is to have the right size frame.
Current position: 90mm wheels (100mm max size for frames) rockered all up to be lower to ground.
