has anyone noticed that anytime she brings up doing something with her friends she says they “treated me” to shopping or they “treated me” to that whatever seafood place? etc.
even with her relationship with her father i assume beyond the abuse and grooming as she’s gotten older there was some coercion sprinkled in to make her do things. so now she associates all relationships with a give or take mentality. and she sees herself as the default recipient of things. may not be true just my observation.
is anyone else finding trouble with accepting the excuses TIM/F have when women say they’re not interested in being called cis? they call it a scientific term that isn’t offensive and we should just bend the knee and accept it. which is oddly reminiscent of when they’re called their sex observed at birth. but always have qualms with it. it’s very much just circular logic and linguistically policing women. even if it isn’t offensive to be called cis im not interested in being called it. i thought we were all for identifying in any way we chose? or is that limited to a certain demographic…
Feminism should be limited strictly to female liberation. Thats in and of itself intersectional because the female sex includes every race, sexuality, class, disability, and religion. We don’t need to include men to achieve this.
Modern liberal and "intersectional" feminists have diluted all of this. They expanded the definition of feminism to cater to men, complaining that because patriarchy damages men as well we HAVE to save them. It’s become another space where women are expected to do the physical and emotional labor for the very people who hold power over them.
We understand how insane this logic is in every other social or political circle. A labor union would NEVER invite corporate executives into their meetings just because the pressures of participating in capitalism cause high stress among CEOs. The purpose of the union is to protect the WORKERS. Even the civil rights movement had white allies, but the activists never changed a damn thing to focus on the consequences of racism that also affected white people.
It went from women being forced to fight for themselves because no one else would to it becoming an everyone club. And right when we started to see systematic changes too. Very convenient!
Somalia has one of the highest rates of FGM in the world, but there are many different charities led by local women and/or survivors in general that are doing incredible work to change that. I wanted to boost this donation page to help get the word out. The Ifrah Foundation is run by a survivor as well. Even if you can’t donate please send this around.
i usually find children’s books with this but i wonder if there are any novels for young adults/adults with this vibe.
are there any websites or books that I can access or source that would go into greater detail about our cultural clothing spanning from more than 200 years? i’ve went to my public library and university library but can’t find anything there.
it’s so interesting to me how all of the threats they direct towards terfs are always sexual in nature. i’d say 85% or more. and everything else i have to say about it will probably get this post removed in the first place. it’s eerily similar to that r/4tran4 sub where 99% of the posts are somehow simultaneously threatening women and wanting to be/date them. and they’re just random people we interact with daily. yet subs like this are the ones that always get banned. terrifying!
wondering!
i use foam men’s minoxidil (5%) nightly and was given setraline and i’ve decided to also use it nightly too. i dont really get any side effects from minoxidil aside from the occasional headache from forgetting to use it. is it okay to use together?
it’s (r/radicalfeminismm) because new ones kept getting deleted. feel free to join!
I’d prefer to have a partner that has similar stylistic interests like me and prefers vintage style clothes. Is there a large vintage community within lesbians? My personal style has a lot of 20s, 40s, and 60s references!
hi i’m new to sewing and very much like vintage patterns! they seem pretty complicated to me though so I wanted to ask what kind of clothing I should begin with before I try anything complicated? i was considering maybe some kind of simple nightwear? but i can’t find any.
i haven’t been on reddit in a while and rn im trying to find a good subreddit to join and converse with other feminists. but i don’t really lean towards radfems as they’re mostly TERFS. probably the intersectional kind! can i have tips on the best ones if yall know or atleast what to avoid? also POC and lesbian friendly (can’t believe i have to say that..)
