New to working as a opto tech and just wanted to share my thoughts + ask for advice

I’ve only ever had front desk and retail experience so I feel really blessed to be given this opportunity. Oh my goodness, this job is so much fun. On top of being able to use super cool machines and interact with all types of patients, I was lucky enough to be trained by really incredible people.

Ive only worked there for 6 days, around 4-6 hours on each day, and I’ve been able to be on my own, working up patients and setting them up for the doctor. I’m prioritizing accuracy over speed right now, because I do make a few mistakes here and there. I do struggle with checking eye pressure with the icare sometimes.

Since Ive never worked in healthcare before, am I doing good? Should I look out for anything or anything I need to be aware of moving forward? Or just any general advice would be nice

finally thinned my brows, does it suit me more than thick?

In all photos Im wearing house labs concealer in shade light rosy, givenchy powder in shade 3, and my mascara is subversion urban decay in black. I also use the mascara primer from urban decay as well. I’m also wearing mac paramount and guessing game.

personally i love my new look, but my mother hates it lol. I always thought my brows were way too thick.

finally took my very first dose of 5mg lexapro yesterday and I felt…. absolutely nothing

No nausea, no headaches. No panic attack, no rabid heart rate, no shakiness. Maybe some fatigue and head fog but that’s really it. I can’t believe It took me so long to start it bc all of the side effects I saw online. I feel literally nothing. NOTHING. I feel good.

If you’re hesitant, just. do. it.

50k+ word fics with a ton of world building where they’re ENEMIES for most of the fic (recently updated please! around 2025-2026 only)

Really want an immersive fic where they still bicker and are very rude to each other for a good while in the fic. preferably either 8th year or postwar.

also if it’s explicit, only top harry/ bottom draco thanks 😊

has anyone seen this program before? the requirements are a little odd but I can’t land a job without the certification and i don’t have the money for most courses near me

They’re saying it’s completely free, covered by tuition.

question about tessa crowley’s draco malfoy, boy who lived series

I’ve been putting this off for a while but I’m finally going to start it now that the semesters done, but does it have OOC draco? in my understanding, harry and draco’s roles have been switched but, do they still have the same personalities? I kinda need my draco to be the same posh blond brat lol

I’m guessing they took the beta proton from the other part. wait. there’s only one alpha carbon here, are we only supposed to take a proton from the alpha carbon? bc i was confused why they deprotonated the more substituted side but if that’s why that makes sense.

I have finals next week, but I finally got to see my primary care md after dealing with pretty severe anxiety attacks for the past two weeks (have had anxiety for around six months but it’s gotten bad again) that are keeping me from studying and honestly, functioning normally.

I’m super scared of the side affects obviously, but my physician said I should probably take it tomorrow, which is like, two days before another exam I have. I just wanted to ask people who experienced it, is it something serious? And what other side affects should I be on the look out for? I really just want the panic and anxiety to stop but it can’t be at the expense of my grades.
