I took so many pictures that my Canon R50 died 😂 Yet here reddit has a 20 pictures limit 🫠

It’s 3-4 floors of all the haute couture dresses by all the designers for the House of Dior over the years. I was in such heaven! If you are ever in Paris, do not miss it!! The exhibition was such a build up from Christian Dior’s life story to his early dresses to then more intricate dresses by later designers on individual displays then to multiple halls of many many of them in one room. Just breath taking!

Oh one day, I dream to have my own haute couture dress…

VAT Refund - GlobalBlue barcode and Wise

Hi all, I just came back from Paris and noticed all my VAT refund ended up processed as USD into my card, instead of letting my card do the forex conversion, thereby eating another 6% into my refund... I did quite a bit of designer goods shopping, so this fee hurts :( So I started to do more research about this for my next trip. Can you tell me whether what I am thinking will work out reasonably?

- Use the GlobalBlue app to create a profile therefore a profile barcode

- Open a wise account and add EUR as a currency

- Enter Wise digital card detail into the GlobalBlue app

- Next time I go shopping, instead of giving them my USD credit card for the refund, just get them to scan the barcode for my GlobalBlue profile, thereby routing the refund to Wise's EUR account so that GlobalBlue can't force their terrible forex rate on my refund

- Once I get home, receive VAT refund in EUR then use Wise to convert forex (I read it's only about 0.5%, instead of GlobalBlue's 6%) back to USD if I want, or leave it in there to use on my next trip from my Apple Wallet

Any feedback / advice welcomed!

Over 4 hours delayed due to mechanical issue. Can I use a different card to book hotel tonight and still get reimbursed by TD CC?

Hi - my flight was over 4 hours delayed due to mechanical issue and I’d land at 3am or so, don’t want to make family pick me up at such a godly hour or arrive then and wake them up. If I book a hotel for tonight to get it reimbursed later, do I have to use the TD Aeroplan CC I bought the plane ticket with or can I use a different CC? I don’t have the TD CC on me :(

AC also said they’d hand out some hotel voucher when we land, but I am not sure what hotel it would be whatsoever, or whether it’d a certain amount to be spent at any hotel? Can I book the hotel before we land and get the voucher? So many airport hotels are sold out tonight I’m very nervous.

I’m on the plane in the sky right now and so anxious about what plan to make :( Any advice appreciated!

Over 4 hours delay, TD Aeroplan Credit Card Trip Insurance?

I’m on the plane in the sky right now and so anxious about what plan to make >_< Any advice appreciated!

Edit: Like many commented later, I didn’t get a hotel voucher because to the airline this is my final destination. That was not made clear by the staff on the other side

Edit: Ok everyone I’ve settled into an airport hotel I’m paying for myself regardless whether TD CC would end up reimbursing me because I simply don’t want to wake family up and the uber ride would’ve cost more than the hotel. Yes that’s how far it is. Seems like most people don’t mind disrupting others. That’s not my style. I’ve suffered enough on my own. No need to make more people miserable the next day by waking them up at 4am.

It used to be really spot on that readiness or sleep score would be kinda low and I’d actually get sick in a day or two. But in the last 6 months or so I’ve been getting major or minor signs with high readiness and sleep scores and absolutely nothing happens. Today I got major signs but zero metric stood out.

Wavy ladies, I’ve only recently discovered my waves and have a haircut that is all the same length with almost no layers at the back, and I found that the hair at my back have the loosest pattern. I’ve been debating whether to get cascading layers / butterfly cuts so that they can tighten / bounce more, but not more if this would actually work. Anyone who’s done this, can you please share your experience? If it worked, what kind of cut was it? And did your new cut still look elegant when you style it straight?Anything to help me describe it to my stylist at my next appointment, highly appreciated!

My current routine: Virtue curl shampoo and conditioner, volumizing mousse, one of (treluxe, bounce curl ceramide jelly, rizos curls strong hold), scrunch upside down, then sway to right side up to fix any wonky looking strands and diffuse.

I used to think I’m just not scrunching my roots at the back of my hair enough, so I tried to just do more of that. But then I found that even if back of my head roots had waves as I styled and diffused, they disappeared not long after I SOTC :( so I assume this wasn’t a scrunch skill issue?

Attached are waves on my front / side vs back. In the back,
my hair is about chest length. Is my length just weighing my waves down so that I should trim them all to a certain sweet spot length?

This is going to be my first haircut after discovering my waves, so want to gather the best ideas for waves!
