Learning when to stop eating sweets

Hello!

I’ve been intuitive eating for around a month now. Before that, I struggled with bulimia for about 1.5 years.
I’m doing pretty well so far, sometimes I just stop eating and actually leave leftovers when I’m satisfied.

A huge part of recovery for me was allowing myself to have dessert without feeling guilty.
Because of that, I allow myself to eat something sweet every day, and I allow myself to eat as much as I want / „need”. I actually eat significantly less sweet food than I used to because I’m finally able to reach a point of satisfaction where I genuinely feel like I’ve had enough and want to stop.
The problem is that I still often feel bad afterwards. I usually get a bit of a stomach ache and feel like I had too much sugar at once.
I keep doing this basically every day, and every day I promise myself that tomorrow I’ll know better and stop eating before I feel physically uncomfortable.

Does anyone have any advice on how to find that middle ground and learn to stop before my body starts feeling bad?

Spotify app problems

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the Spotify app over the past few days? At first I thought it was my internet or my phone, but it’s been so laggy that I can barely use it. When I click on a song it takes around a minute to start playing, the app keeps freezing, and it’s basically unusable

Increased appetite after coming off Lexapro

Hi, I came off Lexapro last week. I used to take 15 mg daily. Since then, I am so hungry. It feels like no matter how much I eat, there’s still space in my stomach. It’s not even about cravings, but just genuinely feeling like I need more food. I’m really scared I won’t be able to control it and that I’ll gain weight.

Has anyone experienced this kind of appetite during Lexapro withdrawal? Did it stop?

Appetite when did you notice changes

Hi! I started taking Prozac last week, mainly for depression but I also struggle with bulimia/binge eating.

I’m currently taking 20 mg daily, and I feel so depressed. The only thing that soothes me is food, mostly sweets. I feel even hungrier, or at least I haven’t noticed any changes in my appetite.

Is it possible that it will kick in later? What was your experience? I’m so anxious that there aren’t any medications that will help with my eating disorder :(

Recovery slip-ups

Does anyone have ways to deal with slip-ups during recovery?

A few weeks ago I stopped purging, and I was so motivated to recover, but today I ate a box of cookies because I had a massive craving. I feel so guilty and sad. I’m scared all my progress is ruined and doesn’t count anymore

Living near Plaza Mayor in Madrid?

Hey guys, I’m a student moving to Madrid in September. Most of the apartments I’ve found are near Plaza Mayor. Is it a safe and nice area for a girl to live in? If not, which other neighbourhoods would you recommend? :)

For those who recovered, how long did it take you?

After starting recovery, like actually stopping purging, how long did it take you to notice changes? I’m not only talking physically, but also mentally, like feeling calmer and more confident around food?
