Laws regarding atheism

I want to understand more about the laws in Jordan regarding atheism.

  1. What does the law do if someone is atheist?

  2. Will the law protect someone who is facing harm because they don’t believe in God?

  3. What’s the best thing to do if you’re not protected?

  4. Is there any help given?

Please let me know I’m very curious.

Asylum seeker

Hello Everyone.

I need help or advice. As you can see from the title I’m a female adult from Jordan that wants to seek asylum. I’m atheist. I come from a religious conservative Muslim family. I want to live a decent life where no one is forcing me into a religion that I don’t believe in.

The laws regarding religion in Jordan is very strict. I cannot renounce my religion or else it will put me in a dangerous position under the law and from family and relatives. I want to live freely as a woman. I’m tired of being vulnerable and controlled. I’m tired of playing along but that is what I have to do in order to stay safe because safety is priority.

Everyday I hate myself. I hate that I was born into a culture that controls women and takes away their rights and freedoms. I’ve been feeling suicidal lately but I don’t want to give up because there might be hope for me. I feel like giving up I don’t want to give up. I want to try my best.

The main language I can speak is English. Is that a problem?

Any help will do. Give me any organizations that can help me. I don’t know if I can afford a lawyer so if they’re organizations that provide legal help let me know. You can also message me privately
