Why do my partners clean towels smell after using them to dry off from the shower?

Ok so whenever I stay at my boyfriend’s place and take a shower, the towels always have a scent akin to mildew once we’re done with them. The towels smell clean whenever they’re washed, and they always get hung up properly after use. The bathroom and rest of the living space doesn’t have a mold or mildew problem either. Could the towels smelling musty be because one of us has a body odor problem we’re unaware of?

(Quick question) Why can’t I post a video on this sub?

I’m trying to post a vid (using mobile) but it doesn’t pop up in my media and I can’t attach it. I can’t find the video folder at all in my media. I’ve contacted mods but nobody has replied and it’s been 2 days. Do I need higher karma or something?

What is this creature?

About half an hour ago i decided to take a walk around the square because I can’t sleep. I was walking around the picnic area and saw this little thing wandering. It doesn’t look like any other species I’ve seen before. The hat makes me wonder if this is someone’s little buddy/pet but there’s no name or phone number on it. It’s friendly, loves pats and hops around while smiling brightly but its skin has a sticky slime all over it. It’s honestly really cute and has been following me on my walk back but my apartment doesn’t allow pets or critters…does anyone know where I can find this guy a place to stay?

Shelf life of previously frozen shrimp that’s been in the fridge for a few days?

My bf bought frozen raw shrimp and took it out of our freezer the next day and put it into the fridge to defrost. He put it in at kind of a bad time though because we were both busy the next few days and now the shrimp has been in the fridge for about 8 days. Would it still be safe to cook and then eat it? (The package is still unopened and I don’t have any pics)

My boyfriend was gifted this book from his stepdad. If you read some of the pages in the pics provided, you can see the word and syntax structure are the same as what a ChatGPT model would write. There’s no record of an author named Santos Lucas (totally real name am I right ladies?), the closest thing I found on google was a soccer player named Lucas santos. On the first page, the book gives a disclaimer that it is an “independent commentary and analysis inspired by historical events surrounding the Wall Street Crash of 1929 and is not affiliated or authorized by 1929: Inside the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History and How it Changed the Nation by Andrew Ross Sorkin (a real book with a real author that it is based upon.)” I could not find any evidence of the AI book existing on Amazon, Temu, or Walmart.com, so I think bf’s stepdad bought from online what he thought was Sorkin’s book but then ended up with a fake copy. So far, my boyfriend has said that reading this is completely boring because there’s just no structure in it at all and he has been annotating each page for errors. By page 40, he had counted 100 hyphens “—“ written. 100 hyphens is crazy. The comic sans text on the first page is kinda hilarious though.
