I don't plan on trading it currently but just want to know
I mean no harm to the people involved in this auction; I made this post because I'm frustrated and want to see if anyone has had the same thing happened to them. Instead of downvoting if you disagree, know that I'm frustrated and you'd be too if both people backed out.
I just auctioned an xxs kit and it reached 29k. One person said they'd back out if it reached 30k. Cool, I totally respect having a cutoff. That person ended up finding a different one and backing out for that reason. I told the second person they won and asked what their user was. That person didn't respond for a while, so I resent the message. They said they'd found a different one and bought it already. So now both people have backed out. Not cool.
After 5 days of an item saying purchased but not shipped, I asked them if they shipped, and they said the post office has been experiencing delays so that's why my tracking hasn't updated. A few days later, they canceled my order.
Is there a legitimate reason they canceled, like the package got lost or something? I asked and they haven't responded but they're active and making new listings for other items.
Is it ethical to list something extremely high just in case someone DOES buy? Of course if it doesn't sell in a few weeks, I'd mark it down to normal price. But, does it hurt to list it super high to potentially make a high profit?
