Product change credit card or just cancel to see if they offer to waive the annual fee and keep my card?
I was gonna call tomorrow to product change my Priority to the Premier before the new annual fee posted. But I’ve seen people calling to cancel and being offered by Chase/SW to waive the annual fee to stay and keep the card.
Should I call and request to cancel and see if they do the same? Or should I call and request a Product Change to keep my annual fee the same, and see if they offer the same thing?
I still fly Southwest since I’m constantly flying LAX to OAK so I’d like to still have a SW card. Is it too big of a risk to call and cancel and hope they give me the retention offer? Should I just request the product change like I originally was?
